I am the bass player for "The Music Explosion". We had a hit with Little Bit o Soul in 1967. We were just starting out when we played at a ski lodge with a juke box. I saw this song and played it. It flipped me out. I tried to find it but no one knew of it. I remembered the name and decided to look it up on Youtbe. My God I was so happy. Thanks Youtube. You are a great web.
I bought this when it was current and kept it all these years. I also really liked the flip side and was amazed to see they both made it to CD years later.
My head is goin' 'round My empty wrists are pounding I dont know what to do But I will follow you Wind is cryin' trees are sighin' birds are flyin' higher now you're mine Now the night is still Wander where you will and I will find you tell me Where we're going to see the rain softly falling on my window pane Don't know where But I don't care I will follow him Until the stars grow dim
Stars are hidden me my lids I just can't keep on going now you're mine Skies are falling, you are calling me and I will fall behind you tell me Where we're going to see the rain softly falling on my window pane Don't know where But I don't care I will follow him Until the stars grow dim Until the wind has blown away hey you tell me where we're going to follow me (follow me, follow me)
Bought this @ Merle's Record Rack/New Haven, Conn = 78c/45rpm, Golden Days. Gift of the internet: Got GoToMyPC.com : at a friend's house, I had him boot up his unit and then went to MY computer and THIS *BOSS* side was my demo to him---they had never heard this before, everybody really loved it. No surprise to me---all my '60s faves were Top 40, seldom higher than 20. This YouTube is such a GIFT, you too for posting this: God bless you & those who love you.
We could only wonder what Warren would think if he ever heard that horrible song "All Summer Long" Kid Rock made which ruined both "Werewolves of London" & "Sweet Home Alabama"? RIP Warren. You'll be missed by us classic rockers.
Lyme, none other than the great Warren Zevon. A really great song for 1966. Warren was way ahead of his time. Out of this came all of his great songs he rolled out in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. His roots go back to "The Turtles", whom he also wrote for. A great rocker taken before his time.

I spent 20 years looking for this "tell me where we're goin' to" song after first hearing it a few times in February 1966.
Great bass and drum intro to "Little Bit o' Soul."

It reminds me of The Monkees. That's a compliment, by the way.
