Why only Scandinavians, and especially Finnish people are the only one who likes salt liquorice (AKA salmiac)? I really love it and seeing how others react at it makes me smile. :D

Salmiakki isn't "sweet" it is opposite of sweet, but if you have problem to drink beer much at the time, salmiakki will make it so you can drink it as much as you want :) Salmiakki also raises your blood preasure so don't eat it when you study, it makes bad results for your studies. Btw Salmiakki ftw :D

Combining ammounium chloride with liqourice is an ancient invention. It is consumed a lot in some countries but, I doubt non of those can be called as "the original home of salty liqourice"...

I goona say that even if it was born in finland the dutch make it the best,and dubble zout the brand is probably the biggest sellin salt liqorice in the world...its the only salt liqorice brand I see in north american candy stores
