Battlefield 3 flickering / artifacts - crossfire problem?

I got Gigabyte 6870 and I have some too. Its annoying when rock keep blinking ;/

My nvidia 560 ti has the same problem, it's a glitch with battlefield

@neon128 FIXED.

ATI CCC 11.9 + CAP4 profile for crossfire ... evertything is fine now. No flickering, no stuttering. For nvidia users, I don't know ...

@marcoiwb i have ati 5770 crossfire, i use ati ccc 11.10 v3 + cap 4, and after playing like 15 minutes i get big lag and its getting biger , its like freezein on 1 second every 5 seconds :S

@neon128 So, try to do this: download (Driver cleaner) app. uninstall your current driver, don't reboot yet. open driver cleaner and select ATI to remove all registry, everything from that driver. reboot and instal the 11.9 + cap 4 ... I did it and now is fine. I was using 11.10 and installed cap 3, but didn't work. I think the cap 4 don't work with 11.10 driver (I DON'T KNOW)

@marcoiwb I did try like you said, i use now 11.9 + cap4 and its same thing :S I think that after 1 dead screen starts 2 ficker and its starts 2 lag and freeze like hell :( i will get crazy :S

@neon128 D: if you're overclocking your gpus, try to set as default and see... try to disable the crossfire and see if get better. if yes, it's a crossfire problem... In last case, I format to see... ahhh I really don't know now how to solve your problem =/

@marcoiwb gpus are stock, and when i use just 1 card its ok ,but then i dont have so good fps =/ should i wait for patch ? thanks for you time

@neon128 so, it's a crossfire problem. Maybe is a 5770 glitch. Search online with users who have your card. HERE, with my two 6870 the patch worked. (I already have CAP3 installed when I put CAP4, try to do this.. put cap3 then cap4 again)..... Try on AMD foruns. disable crossfire and plug you monitor in the other card. if everything equal the other, then it's not a card problem I think. In last case, format and install only 11.9 + Cap 4... There are things I'll do if I have this problem (:

@marcoiwb I did search online and no results ,I did try all tipes of drivers with all caps, now I will try to delete cap4 , so i can instal cap3+cap4 maybe it helps.I did test cards,they are both fine, they are only half year old.I try on Amd forums, thanks for the help !

try use catalyst 11.9 with cap 4...i'm facing game crashes ( was using 11.10 ) ..after roll back to 11.9 my game working perfectly...i'm using asus 6990..

same issue with hd 6850 in cf... I thought that beta ended on 10th October.

i installed the previous nvidia drivers which stop the flickering but now the game crashes randomly.. if u figure out how to stop this pls message me mate cos its driving me insane

@nautilis bah, I'm using ATI Crossfire here, and I solved the problem just with 11.9 drivers and CAP4... cap3 was bullshit. Try unninstalling the nvidia driver, and remove completely with (Driver Cleaner Pro). Then reinstall and see if the problem will keep.. make a response later (:

@marcoiwb ey, eventually fixed it by installing the beta nvidia drivers (285.38) works fine now!

I HAVE IDENTICAL PROBLEM!!! as soon as FPS drop at 30 everything is fine. I have 6950CF and 11.9 drivers. this only appears outside and slightly on Caspian map.

@marcoiwb there seems to be no problem with your system specs, i've been to the battlelog forums lately, and they are posts regarding screen flickering and its a bug, i've experienced it also sometimes especially outside operation metro.. many players are also experiencing this, so you're not alone, it might just be because it's still in the beta state. :)

@0902studios I hope so... In 2009 I make up a computer, with a HD 4870, and when I overclocked the card, appeared squares artifacts in all games. Since its a new setup, I was wondering if is it!! Thank you, I posted on BFlog forum, and a guy with a nvidia 570 ti  have the same problem... (:
