I wasn't familiar with the term "Dumblator" and had to look it up. I just run the delay straight through the loop on the amp. There is a Send Level Control on the amp.
Thanks. I learned something new on buffering of the effects loop. I have also used a Mesa Boggie Rectoverb II and Koch Twintone in the same manner with great sounds using the delay. I also run a volume pedal through the loop so that I can control the volume without tone reduction. Every other pedal is in front.
@58lp2002 It's probably not a good idea running a volume pedal in the loop to control the overall volume. It's because when you play with the band on stage you hardly have an idea how your vol compares to the others'. It's the mixer guy's duty. However it totally makes sense if you use a boost of say +6dB to get a little volume kick for solo passages.
@alexaufnempc Thanks for asking. It's unfortunately the only cab I have right now since I have only combos. Hope to get a better cab for this great Carol Ann head. It is the 3/4 back Mesa with a Black Shadow 90 speaker.
Thanks - You are right, the more I have messed with it the better it sounds even on the clean channel. I just needed to learn how to tweak the amp right.

Hey did you need a Dumblator to run this amp's fx loop the delay went straight through the loop?

@58lp2002 I just asked people at Carol Ann and they said the loop is buffered so you won't have to use an external loop buffer.

@58lp2002 Yeah, I love the speaker that is in that Mesa cab, especially with this amp.

@58lp2002 I think those Black Shadow 90s sound pretty good. The rig sounds great as is, IMHO.
