The blade ends wouldn't actually collide, it ruins the blade, Blocking is mostly done with the side, and back of the katana.

Who cares if they actually know it, not too many people actually know martial arts anymore... no, I do not count UFC or anything like that. But, at least they were having fun, can't blame them for that. This, in my opinion, is a great way to pass the time and if you do not know martial arts, that just makes it more fun cause you can put your own style into it.

Timing is awful and the moves too repetetive. You signal everything way too much and... I could go on for ever. Flow, flow, flow...

On the positive side you seem to have a lot of fun and there's a distinct feel of pent up energy and creativity. Practice, practice.

I was actually kinda impressed with that. Some of the choreography was quite good but it only happened in 5-10sec bursts, especially once the first go to the top of the hill.

The lighting and landscape was perfect

Some improvements to the choreography id suggest is more contact. Especially with the kicks and hilt-to-the-chest type things. I'm sure you can handle a little a little contact and it would add so much to some of those scenes.

@zeogud Thank you for the comment it's nice to see the video has really taken off. We tried hard to entwine the music with the choreography. Although as far as effects go, we didn't use any. All of the colours and light was purely from the landscape we had no budget too work with you see. And as for realness; i thought it would be better if we didn't use real swords and also have the enire fight go down too 8 seconds. ( i just personally didn't think that would make a good video)
