  • grateful dead acid... unforgettable. great fuckin jam.

  • Please don't talk shit about Warren Haynes!

  • The blue sky riffs make the tune...the Brothers ain't the same without Dickey. Thankfully, Derek can play the same style, because Haynes sure can't.

  • lol bob is such a clown

  • bobby is singing at like half speed and skipping the words

  • Warren Haynes............ Everyone's Favorite Guitar fill in. He's the only guitarist that can do the job!!!

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice. this is a bitchin version. dig the blue sky licks from 6.30, wish these guys would tour britain.

  • NO where near as good as the original but it was great. Its funny when I go to a show and people ask if ive seen jerry, its like all the new era is taking over. haha, especially at spread shows.

  • i was at this show. one of the best ever, they also covered dylans "i shall be released" awesome. and i was at three rivers in 95 and soldier field in chicago at the last two shows the dead ever did w/ garcia...many moons ago. lol...i fee old now. what times

  • thank you for posting,, !!!!!

  • Anyone else see Jerry's face in the light show at about 2:40 to 2:45, or is it just me?

    -= :) :) :) =-

  • that was some kinda observation...o yes I believe there was a vague image of senor Garcia

  • yeah i saw it

  • @sundowner108 yessir!!! faintly but I think he peeked out to see what all that phunky commotion was!

  • @sundowner108 I saw it too man. I was at this show, fucking unbelievable night. Both bands were hitting all the right notes.

  • @sundowner108 Yup I saw Bertha as well !!!

  • thanks for this.....I forget too much about this show : \

  • That was great.

  • Thank you...I'm more from the Duane era.. but this video's lead somehow plays Duane and Gerry simultaneously!!

    Loved it!

  • Derek or Warren

  • derek - Warren is more versatile and can sing

  • Derek sings...just not with his voice

  • Ahh THE BEACON.....

  • Bob looks so different with a beard.

  • I saw the Allmans and the Dead together for the first time on Feb. 11, 1970. It was a 3 1/2 hr. jam with Pigpen doing his thang, also 3 members of the original Fleetwood Mac. It was like having a 15-piece blues band in your living room. Duane Allman and Jerry did their thing over in the corner and with 2 bass players and 4 drummers, it was like a tidal wave. I saw the two bands (we know who has come and gone) last year, and the Dead this spring. Still the best 2 bands on the planet!

  • awesome that they came together and brought more magic, eh?

  • @sugarhollowdaddy them and PHISH

  • May the 4 winds blow you safely home!

  • amen....they did for me monday night i was taken home by good friends when i was very hammered..........i woke up at 7 in the morning in the back of my car in my driveway........i just dreamt about that song and woke up to hearing birds and a ray of sunlight in my face........instant hangover cure =]

  • Dicky has used Franlin's Tower for an intro to " Blue Sky" for many years, since the 90's

  • If you get confused just listen to the music play!!!!!

  • Derek Trucks is the only guitarist who could/should replace Jerry. His playing has joy.

  • But he's more of a slide guitarist

  • I was at this show... Right when this song kicked off there was the best lightning storm of the philly skyline... priceless.

  • derek trucks is crazy on guitar, and he totally got a style of his own, which is cool, too

  • Wow! The Allmans in a Dead groove. It almost doesn't get any better. Love the flow but they cut me off right when it was starting to peak. Still, not their fault. May the 4 winds blow you safely home!

  • Yes, Bob's aged, check out that huge

    mustache, lookin' good Bob!!!

    PEACE

two of my favs - GD and ABB

PS I don't miss Dickey, sorry folks.....

  • Boy Bobby's aged...old fogey Weir...but still the Queer...

  • dickey betts now uses the intro to this song for blue sky, very cool.

  • great show and yes we do miss dicky

  • IMHO Franklin's Tower was always better with dickey when they went right into Blue Sky with the ABB!!! Same chord progression basiclly We miss you Dickey!!!!!

  • was this the camden new jersery show

  • derek trucks. I was there trucks on china cat and rider was awsome

  • I was there! Great show both bands did it up right... Thunderstorms hit around the middle of the Dog's set. Tragically, as we in the crowd cheered every lightning bolt I found out over the weekend that a woman was killed nearby by lightning. Sad story really. I believe she was at a wedding rehearsal where she was in the bridal party.

  • well, roll away the dew

  • Woaw! Thank you so much for bringing this totally neo-psychedelic vibe into a cold european am ! This is so cool !

  • glad you enjoyed it!
