the only reason i think this interview didn't suck badly for McCain is because he said "joe the biden" and laughed. that cracked me up and i give him a thumbs up for it.
i still think he's crazy as hell and would pummel the United States to the ground, though...
Ireland affords lower business tax because it gets revenue from other places
Texas has high property tax but no income tax. Sounds great if you dont have property, but bad if you do
Oil countries get to subsidise alot with oil revenue
Each country is so different we couldnt lower our business tax enough to compete with the rest of the world. Theres always a country that gives greater incentives then the next
should be called the offense budget at this point. Has been since 2001.
Its so annoying. Now he defends how his views on taxes are by saying its not what he means and its only ok when he says its ok.
I still dont get how Obama is the most left in congress.
Kucinich is much further left. As was/is Edwards. As i am sure are many others who pushed stronger public healthcare, higher taxes, amongst other social service initiatives and more peaceful foriegn policy initiatives.
McCain didn't say Obama was the most left in the Congress, he said Obama was most left in the Senate. Kucinich is in the House and Edwards is no longer a Senator.
Bernie Sanders and Russ Feingold are both a lot more liberal than Obama and those are in the Senate, so it's still wrong. It would be good if Obama was actually more liberal on civil liberties issues, on foreign policy, on gay rights etc, but he's not, so Republicans using this as an attack line are either ignorant or lying.
@Olympion You made that comment 2 years ago and BOY does it ring true til this day. Obama is in no way a liberal and yet all we hear is how he's a socialist and the most liberal president ever... My ass, lol
Edwards decided not to run for re-election in 2004 because he was so unpopular in North Carolina that he felt he had a better chance being elected president than winning re-election.
Oh well. Too bad he was unpopular in NC. I didn't follow his local initiatives, but i wonder what they thought he did wrong. He sure was popular within the party. Has NC been moving conservative since he went into office?
Governmental intervention is SOCIALISM!! All of Obama's policies are SOCIALIST and will FAIL!!!! ...except when the 'deregulation' I lobbied so hard for in recent years rams our economy into dust... THEN it's ok... but only if I do it...
DANCE DANCE DANCE. Socialism is socialism Senator McCain. You may very well be doing the right thing, but if you think you are, please give up this commie-scare tactic.
OMG, did he just say "Joe the Biden"? Oh no!!!

"Left hand lane"? "MOST LIBERAL"? (what ever that means, red meat to republicans, make liberal a pejorative.)
OH NO, RUN, HIDE YOUR WOMAN & CHILDREN, IT'S A LIBERAL!.
Bush spread the wealth, just to the wealthy & corporations.
Gee it's nice to see the old clips of the old McCain. That McCain is dead.
"We'er in a financial crisis of monumental proportions" Humm he was saying on Sept 15 & 16, as market imploded, "Econ is fundamentally Sound".
Grandpa is scaring me, he said CUNT!

Each country has different revenue streams.

Texas has high property tax but no income tax. Sounds great if you dont have property, but bad if you do

Yes, we live way beyond our means. Let's start by cutting the defense budget.

Yeah, what Olympian said, and when did Edwards leave the senate?
Did he quit on his own just because of an affair from years ago?
He was too important to many causes to fall because of that. dark clouds around such an otherwise positive cloud for dems.
Still, if obama was ever to the left, that would end up making the dems far right since hes centrist on nearly everything.
Definitely false claim. Who are these people that rated the senate?
Whats a name I can search for?

Its not like he was only a one term right?
