i got a cool horror dvd collection 2. People who see people buy dvds now think there just wasting there money but 5 years from now we will see who is stupid when my fright night 2 dvd sells for 100 bucks.
haha "Klaus himself was doing experiments..." I didn't actually no Crawlspace was out on DVD. I have it on old vhs, haven't seen it in a while, though.
Hey James...was curious. From one horror fan to another...I caught a couple of horror films I thought I'd recommend to you that I thought were great. Have you heard of Eden Lake, Inside, Them, Martyrs, and slasher classic Silent Night Deadly Night? I hope you didn't cover any of these by chance and I missed them but I thought I'd let you know...I know you'd enjoy them. Stay safe and enjoy!
What is that hanging on the far right of the screen it looks like bad ass lederhosen! :D Crawlspace looks awesome! I really need to find that one, great review :D
lol, I'm not even sure what exactly that is! I hang my washing inside sometimes so no one steal it off the line. Paranoid I guess lol. Crawlspace rules - Kinski is great at going absolutely bonkers on screen :D
lol! wait you have clothes lines at your apt?!(Q: is it an apartment or do you call them flats in AU?) thats so funny and amazing :D yeah you wouldn't want one of those notorious Adelaide laundry thiefs stealing that hoodie!(but seriously I would prolly do that too) I just thought you might be a closet yodeller or something awesome like that :D
lol, yes I do! Don't want anyone stealing my undies! Hmmm, not actually sure what the term we use here is - I always change from flat to apartment, so I don't know. Adelaide Laundry theifs our out in force - I must not let them steal any of mine!
Ok I finally caved and signed up for a youtube account. Yesterday I looked up "Bava collection" and I've since watched all 10 of these with a shitload of coffee and another shitload of pissing breaks. HELL YES. You have a genuine enthusiasm which comes across a lot better than most people who unfortunately seem insistent on masturbating on their stuff in front of a camera instead. Which is a sad norm. So thanks man! KEEP It UP PLEEZZZZZ!!!!!
Hello there. Sorry for the late reply. Thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I love horror films and I guess that passion comes across on video :D. Thank you for watching.
great update! havent seen city/living dead but i hear its one of the better fulci movies so i really wanna check it out. that 2disc special ed. of creepshow looks awesome, i just bought it the other day and havent seen it yet so im excited to check it out! love the cover art for creepshow 2. thanks for making another collection vid!
I ordered The Crazies last Oct but I just missed out on it, it was deleted and after waiting 3 months my order was canned. I like Rabid more, but it's still a good movie.
I'll import it one day if Anchor Bay UK does not do a re-release
I love CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD. The Beyond is second to that. BTW I have some Euro horror film posters on e-bay uk including ZOMBI 2 and GIALLO DARIO ARGENTO.
Hey mate. You should love City of the Living Dead. Great film. Yeah, I found The Crazies very similar to Dawn of the Dead. Should be an easy step from Dawn to The Crazies. Creepshow 2 is worth it if your a fan of the first film. The third film however, from what I've heard, is pure sh*te.
When people talk about Fulci they always mention Zombi 2, The Beyond, and House by the Cemetery. They hardly ever talk about City of the Living Dead. Its probably his most underrated film. I absolutely love it.
well,i'll watch creepshow this week [probably friday] thanks for the help man, stephen king is very popular ,so he has to be good. i liked the shining,1408[a few well known example]......
Damn right it's a pain! I thought the part with me talking about the Creepshow 2 segments was expendable, because I wanted to summarise on that film. The others were more interesting subjects. Hmmm, theres a good bet they'll do a re-release of The Crazies for the remake. Creepshow 4 hmmm, we'll have to see. The third is supposed to be a travesty.
lol, would you believe it took me like 8 hours to edit this video! It would have been up soon, but I went overboard with the cuts. I had to though - was like 25 minutes of footage. The Creepshow 2 movie segments had to be removed :(. lol, okay, Herbet Chappel. The Crazies is pretty hard to get here too now, haven't seen it around much. Oh, I didn't know that about those stories. Thanks for the info man. Cheers.
I have some of Fulci's films but I have yet to see City of the Living Dead. The way you discribed it and reflecting on H.P. Lovecraft it sounds like I'm missing out.
Hey man, thanks so much for the comment. City of the Living Dead is one of Fulci's most well realised films in my opinion. Got some really interesting parts to it too, very out of the norm. Thank you for watching.
Glad you mentioned the inspiration of Lovecraft on City of the Living Dead, mayn people don't even know that and Lovecraft is the best Horror writer of all time imho.
The Umbrealla cover of The Crazies is awesome again, they just know how to create impressive artwork.
Hey mate. Yes - I think that aspect is a very important part of the film. The Beyond also and it's themes of purgatory always lend a lot from Lovecraft. Yeah, We got a better cover for The Crazies than the states I think :D. Go Umbrella :D! Thank you for watching Dom :D
I always thought Cronenberg's RABID was a better take on spread of infection/virus, panic, & general social commentary than Romero's Crazies. I'm not much of a Lynn Lowery fan either, although I Drink Your Blood RULES!! Love that film and I thought the meat pies were infected with rabid blood?!?! Or were you meaning the old man was given LSD when he tries to confront the hippie rapist and gets a beatdown? lol.
I really want those UK editions of Creepshow! yes, even Creepshow 3!! Muhahah! :P
Rabid I agree is a great example of that. I agree with you that it's better film depicting the passing of a virus, but The Crazies is better at demonstrating how a military response can become a nightmare. I loved that political aspect of the film. Romero sure does hate the establishment :D. Feck, you are right about the rabid blood bit! Noooo! Oh well, can't do anything about it now lol. Thanks Lori for the comment, always appreciated :D.
I worked in a video store and I remember we had the Gates of Hell VHS that had a huge oversized box. I never saw Crazies. I'll have to check that one out. I love Creepshow and it features one of my favorite actresses playing a very unlikeable lush.......Adrienne Barbeau. Creepshow 2 is pretty good too. I like The Raft the best.
Oh, bet your wishing you grabbed that Gates of Hell Box now :D. Yes, The Crazies id worth buying. Great film. Barbeau was so good in Creepshow - her character was one of the best in the film :D. Seems everyone likes The Raft the best. I'd say with me it would be a toss up between that and The Hitchhiker.
Creepshow 2 sound good.i remember my checking them at imdb's site,i bought friday 13th recently but it didnt seem different to me.[ i didnt watch it though] AWESOME video.... AGAIN... by the way....
Ah, Giovanni Lombardo Radice. One of my all time favorite exploitation actors.
I love 'The Crazies. Did ya notice how similar the Dustin Hofman film 'Outbreak' is to it? quite uncanny in places.
I love the style of Creepshow, They're creeping up on you is fantastic. Did you realise the wife in 'Tide you over' is Gaylen Ross of Dawn of the dead?
Creepshow 2 wasn't nearly as good but I enjoyed it.
Some cool films there mate. thanks for sharing them.
Yes, you described it well Glenn Italy's favourite whipping boy' :D. Outbreak I have kind of forgotten so I can't really say. We actually had to watch that in school would you believe when I was younger. No, I did not know that was Gaylen Ross, never saw her face very closely. When I saw the first segment I so knew one of the actors - tuned out it was Ed Harris in an uncredited roles (I think he is at least). It was the hair that threw me off :P. Thank you mate.
Hey mate. I have to make time. Yes I have a job, so things get a little hectic at times. my videos are becoming very sporadic. I'll have to upload more often if I can.
Great picks man! Love both creepshows...1 is probly more classic but, I like 2 more (the raft). You go over these movies so well. I gotta get crawl space. Great Update!
Hey Eigh8T. They weren't pick ups man, just reviews of films I already own. You like Creepshow 2 more? Cool film, granted, just never impressed me as much as Romero's. Cheers buddy, thanks very much.
I actually have not seen The Cats ye - worth getting? Creepshow rule, I can't see how anyone could hate it. lol, thank you very much. I live to serve :P
In another story, Drew Barrymore is terrorized by a pocket-sized Gremlin, it attempts to suck out her soul whilst she sleeps. Will you check it out and review it? Your take on it would be of great interest.
My favourite stories from 'Creepshow' was 'Something to Tide You Over' and 'They're Creeping Up on You!'.
I knew that Stephen King was in one of the 'Creepshow' stories but I didn't realise he was in the second story until I read the credits. I was like 'that's was Stephen King!'
I liked the ending too - Romero is great at wrapping up a film. My fav from Creepshow has always been The Crate, I just love the acting and characters, and the beast thing is damn cool. lol, yeah King is often in the movie versions of his films. It's like Hitchcock movies, always fun trying to track down his cameo :D.
Ive got the same Creepshow 1&2 versions, they are great films. The Crazies is v.good, see you have the umbrella release. CofLD is a must if you like Italian horror.
Hey man, thanks very much. Yeah, those SE releases of the Creepshow films are great. Yep, the Umbrella release has all the special Features as the states release, plus I like our cover better, so I got that :D. I agree - City of the Living Dead is a great film if you like Italian horror, or Fulci for that matter. :)
Hey Ryan. City of the Living Dead is awesome. I think you'd enjoy it if you like Fulci. Yep, heard about The Crazies remake...*groan*. That Creepshow is the UK SE, worth getting. Crawlspace is very underrated and doesn't get talked about much. Really love it though.
Is it worth buying city of the living dead, for about £6.19, anyways was house by the cemetery a zombie film or a slasher, that what I didn't get about it, if not it's a great film?
Hey mate - I remember you asking me that and intending to tell you to watch this video. Sorry buddy. Hmm, that would be like $15 Australian dollars I guess, and for that price - if it's uncut, definitely get it. House by the Cemetery film is an oddity because yeah it doesn't really fall into either category. Enjoyable flick all the same though for me.
yeah I've recently got house by the cemetery, it's an awesome film, but I thought city of the living dead was slightly boring, I mean I watched some of it on youtube, don't you think, I mean from this review it seems as if you really liked it, sorry to dissapoint you though!
I really never understood why everywhere else in the world gets an edition of Creepshow with bonus features and we get shit here even though it's an American movie. I don't know if there's any other cases like that on dvd, there must be, but that is one of the weirdest.
Don't ask me either. Maybe the gods thought you Americans were spoiled enough already and decided to spread the love :P. Wouldn't surprise me if you got a SE pretty soon though.
There's some good releases that we don't have here in America. The main thing that irks me about PAL discs though is that slight speedup that runs the movies at 25 fps I believe. I know most people probably wouldn't notice it but it kind of ruins movies for me.
Not many, compared to the rest of the world. Yeah, it used to be like that when I'd import years ago. NTSC disc would play ant a slower speed and kind of jump every now and again. Everything is all good now I'm my new set-ups though, both formats play exactly the same. I find it strange that its hard in America to play PAL discs, but for the rest of the world playing both PAL and NTSC is relative easy.
classic movie, watched the vhs version again recently uncut with the drill through the head scene intact, saw pieces the other night so ,remebered now where i saw christopher george befor, for some reason my vhs copy has something about dunwich all in italian come up near he start wich is a bit weid.
lol, yes, watching the drill scene uncut is something to behold. Something about Dunwich all in Italian? What do you mean - a quote from Lovecraft or something? Cheers Gray.
Hey man. lol, yes, the gut puking scne was very impressive in it's gore. Way over the top, in a good way. Creepshow SE is worth import - great list of features.
Ahhh City of the Living Dead, Fulci was in his prime!!! That was a great film he definitely pushed the gore in that one! That head drilling scene was so well done!! That Crawlspace cover kicks ass, however here in the U.S. Crawlspace is only available in an OOP double feature dvd! That Sucks!! But it's on my list! The Crazies, Creepshow, Creepshow 2= George Romero classics!!
Yes, Fulci is on top of his game with City. Some of his best work. The gore is phenomenal - that headrilling scene! That does suck about Crawlspace. That DVD I showed they actually just re-released here - maybe they'll do the same in the states? Romero really is one of the best directors around and those films are a testament to his skill. Thanks for the comment.
Hey there. The Crazies deserves more praised. Gets left behind somewhat when people talk about Romero. Yeah, I would have thought it would be the other way around with Creepshow - R1 gets the SE, R2 gets the barebones.
Hey man. Yes, The Crazies deserves a purchase. Great film, and has a lot to say. Weird how the UK Creepshow is a SE release and the R1 is not. Either way, great DVD and film. Crawlspace I'd Highly recommend man.
Hey there, thanks very much. The Raft was a great segment, totally strange. Also really liked the hokey fun of The Hitchhiker. Thanks for the comment.
Hey Jed. Yeah, Danson was great in his role. The pairing with Leslie was a great stroke of genius, played off one another great. The Crazies is excellent I agree.
Cheers buddy. The Crazies is a classic film. I was shocked how good it was when I first saw it because now one really talks about it when they discuss Romero. Really thought it was one of his best. Thanks very much - Creepshow is a sentimental favourite of a lot of people I'd guess.
Are you gonna show the rest of your DVD collection

Hey Ryan. City of the Living Dead is awesome. I think you'd enjoy it if you like Fulci. Yep, heard about The Crazies remake...*groan*. That Creepshow is the UK SE, worth getting. Crawlspace is very underrated and doesn't get talked about much. Really love it though.

Is it worth buying city of the living dead, for about £6.19, anyways was house by the cemetery a zombie film or a slasher, that what I didn't get about it, if not it's a great film?
adamchabbi6 2 years ago
Hey mate - I remember you asking me that and intending to tell you to watch this video. Sorry buddy. Hmm, that would be like $15 Australian dollars I guess, and for that price - if it's uncut, definitely get it. House by the Cemetery film is an oddity because yeah it doesn't really fall into either category. Enjoyable flick all the same though for me.
Jarashut 2 years ago
yeah I've recently got house by the cemetery, it's an awesome film, but I thought city of the living dead was slightly boring, I mean I watched some of it on youtube, don't you think, I mean from this review it seems as if you really liked it, sorry to dissapoint you though!

Cool video James, i love Creepshow 1 & 2. 5 stars for you buddy^^

Thank you very much man. I love them too :D

I really never understood why everywhere else in the world gets an edition of Creepshow with bonus features and we get shit here even though it's an American movie. I don't know if there's any other cases like that on dvd, there must be, but that is one of the weirdest.
fiendwithoutaface66 2 years ago
Don't ask me either. Maybe the gods thought you Americans were spoiled enough already and decided to spread the love :P. Wouldn't surprise me if you got a SE pretty soon though.
Jarashut 2 years ago
There's some good releases that we don't have here in America. The main thing that irks me about PAL discs though is that slight speedup that runs the movies at 25 fps I believe. I know most people probably wouldn't notice it but it kind of ruins movies for me.
fiendwithoutaface66 2 years ago

ScReAmDeMoN58 2 years ago
lol, yes, watching the drill scene uncut is something to behold. Something about Dunwich all in Italian? What do you mean - a quote from Lovecraft or something? Cheers Gray.

Nice update! That gut puking scene in City of the Living Dead had me gagging for sure. That Creepshow 2-disc is nice!!!
Chocolatetorpedo 2 years ago
Hey man. lol, yes, the gut puking scne was very impressive in it's gore. Way over the top, in a good way. Creepshow SE is worth import - great list of features.

m0t0psych0 2 years ago
Hey Mitch. Crawlspace you should be able to find for $10 new. JB should have it.
Jarashut 2 years ago
Awesome, probably will get it soon.
m0t0psych0 2 years ago
Ahhh City of the Living Dead, Fulci was in his prime!!! That was a great film he definitely pushed the gore in that one! That head drilling scene was so well done!! That Crawlspace cover kicks ass, however here in the U.S. Crawlspace is only available in an OOP double feature dvd! That Sucks!! But it's on my list! The Crazies, Creepshow, Creepshow 2= George Romero classics!!
very nice update!

Thanks for the comment.

nice update man,
i agree, the crazies is a very good film. i love creepshow. its a shame the U.S. dvd is a bare bones release.
anthos567 2 years ago
Hey there. The Crazies deserves more praised. Gets left behind somewhat when people talk about Romero. Yeah, I would have thought it would be the other way around with Creepshow - R1 gets the SE, R2 gets the barebones.
Jarashut 2 years ago
Great video :-) Gotta love the Creepshow films. Its ashame the 3rd film sucked so badly.
residentvania 2 years ago
Hey Res :D. Good to hear from you. Yes, I heard Creepshow 3 sucked major ass. Haven't seen it yet.

MANintheMASK88 2 years ago
Hey man. Yes, The Crazies deserves a purchase. Great film, and has a lot to say. Weird how the UK Creepshow is a SE release and the R1 is not. Either way, great DVD and film. Crawlspace I'd Highly recommend man.

Thank you. Two great efforts there by two of horrors masters. Polar opposites in terms of film making, but both really worthy.

Hey Jed. Yeah, Danson was great in his role. The pairing with Leslie was a great stroke of genius, played off one another great. The Crazies is excellent I agree.

The Crazies is a classic film. Very underrated. I totally agree with you about the Creepshow films. Great vid as always.
pizowell 2 years ago
Cheers buddy. The Crazies is a classic film. I was shocked how good it was when I first saw it because now one really talks about it when they discuss Romero. Really thought it was one of his best. Thanks very much - Creepshow is a sentimental favourite of a lot of people I'd guess.
