This is retarded. I completed the quest and it won't let me re-equip the Boots of Springheel Jack... I might have to reload and not even be able to do this quest. The thing is, after I finished it, I ran ALL the way back to the shrine just to be my athletics and destruction up, cause I constantly cast a spell too, but I might have to reload and lose all that progress.

@Ryu12543 That's actually a well known bug with the boots of springheel jak and Sanguine's quest. It permanently equipped the benefits to your character, but you can wear other shoes now too.

Well you get all your stuff at the end so it's not that big a deal, but if you want to use certain items stashing them in the room might work.

@iiH3R3T1C Along with what Oyaria said, you can also just drop it if you wish, but storing it is probably smarter because then you can retrieve it faster. You might also be able to shoot the spell from a far enough distance and while in sneak in order to avoid either getting caught or losing your stuff (I'm not sure because I haven't done this quest yet).

@WDevinL No matter what you have to use the spell and even though you lose all your gear when you cast it, when the quest is done you get all your gold and items from the chest at the shrine.

Try putting your all gold on top of the shell behide the guard at 2:03. After you are be chase by the guards in the room or outside the room. Try to get all your gold back from the shell at 2:03, to pay off for your crime. Or you can try to put all your gold in any places in the room at 2:03 or in the room at 3:47.

Yes all your stuff appears in the chest if you complete the quest. If you fail the quest you just get it placed back in your inventory.
