  • Anyone else prefer this version to the original album cut?

  • @Bactchan Damn, fuckin, yes!!!!

  • Almost impossible to believe this song is over THIRTY-FIVE years old! I still love it as much as when I first heard it all those years ago...

  • This guy is a monster. But I'd take lessons from him.

  • Kickin' the back side of much more heralded guitar players. This cat understands the instrument second to no one, period!!!

  • @mtnbilly100 you got that right!!!!!!

  • simply the best

  • a guitar solo that tells a story. we dont get those anymore.

  • Have this concert on DVD. <3 , epic. one word. <3

  • So amazing. I don't care how many times I've seen this, it still gives me the chills every time. Great vocals, great drums, bass and an especially incredible guitar solo. Wow.

  • Fantastic performance, soulful, he always seems to do better when Stevie is singing with him...

  • brilliant song from a brilliant guitarist, thanks for this

  • Hammergeil!!! Echt super song!!!

  • How he could not have been voted one of the top one hundred guitarists of the time still amazes me. Lindsey Buckingham ROCKS. Love this song.

  • @ritab52 RS came out with another top 100 list and placed him at #100...insulting

  • Yeah! Lindsey,super guitar solo..magnificent

  • very under rated bands ever just the best still playing

  • 5+ People are SO AFRAID.

  • He doesn't even use a pick...amazing...

  • By far one of the best songs ever Lindsey is a rock god in is own right. Lindsey and Stevie have always been my favorite since 1974

  • so here's the story, me and my dad love hard rock/metal like metallica megadeth iron maiden judas priest and all the other cool shit, recently my mom took my dad to a fucking fleetwood mac concert and he said my mom was disapointed because they didn't play the big hit sissy ass songs , he said all of the music was this, and since then we have a new found respect for the guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, so, kudos to him , also he doesn't even use a guitar pick

  • ABSOLUTE CLASS! ENOUGH SAID.

  • I don't listen to Fleetwood Mac, But when i do i listen to I'm So Afraid (Live 1997)

  • @MallThat we're on the same spot.

  • gives me chills

  • One of the greatest recordings of any song live, ever!

  • wow.

  • G R E A T N E S S

  • I was born in May 1976 when they played this song at Rosebud and I turned 21 in 1997 when they performed this song Live ;)

  • Oh God ! How i wish i was there !

  • 4 people are gonna be afraid when I'll kill 'em

  • the power and soul he puts into this song is just incredible. Amazing vocals

  • se pasooo!!!

  • brilliant fleetwood mac!!

  • Absolutely amazing performance from the time people still made music without computer aids for the voices and instruments !

  • Why has no one mentioned the drums?

  • The best ever !!!!

  • I love this so much!! At 3:40 Stevie and Christine are just mesmerized by him as he belts it out with all his heart. Great great solo too. Amazing performance...

  • Can you believe he barely snuck into Rolling Stones top 100 guitarists? Top ten for sure!

  • im 18 & i LOVE this song <3

  • @laylamichelleluv Got tickets to 'The mighty mac' in Liverpool in January 2012, 1st time i've seen them live since 1990 at Maine Road, Manchester, when Lydnsey wasn't with the band, can't wait to watch the master live!

  • @ShakerGlyn i wanna go!!

  • Oh God I love this. <3

  • This is a good quality track, for sure. They must have rehearsed a lot for this reunion show.

  • Pure Gold , wonderful

  • My god people, if you aspire to walk the corridors of Greatness as a musician, then you have to produce musical genius like this, everything about this track and performance is truly remarkable, all five of this band are gods of music and rarely do you see a composition performed so outstandingly blinding. abslutely amazing and I cannot go a day without watching it at least 2 or 3 times, its become my daily fix lol, please come back to our shore Fleetwood mac

  • Erotic!!!

  • I don't think John McVie gets enough credit in this band for playing an exceptional bass guitar.

  • Christine sounded like her middle name was "Dirge" during this...perfect keyboard playing for the song!

  • Lindsay Buckingham - one of the best things that ever happened to Fleetwood Mac. Awesome guitarist and certainly a massively underrated vocalist. Brilliant track..

  • One of my top 5 all time favorites...and I have many

  • @Conurelover1 Many top 5's? O.K. - Many of all time?, many of Fleetwood Mack? I guess you're saying you've got 500 or so that fit into the "top 5".

  • @Conurelover1 Sorry I got you rattled - You clarified, & so that helps. It's just that it seems a lot of people post comments that leave my head scratching, some totally non-sensical. Sometimes this is intentional, so I like to check once in a while with a comment to see if there is a response.

  • @greenwich1754: ..."non-sensical"..."head scratching", you too? I thought your comment about having 500 favorites was funny {and accurate} because this isn't my only favorite song by Mac and they aren't my only "favorite" band and "rock" isn't my only type of favorite music. In my 50 + years, my taste in music has become very diversified and that's not a bad thing.

  • top 10 guitar solo ever

  • One of the most incredible guitar solos ever. A keyboard sound to die for. And a drum performance witnessed once in a generation. All in a single sublime 7 minute clip. ALL HAIL.

  • @tweedy127 i agree, and don't forget that crazy, amazing bass.

  • I took this CD with me on a visit back home to see my folks. My dad happened to hear it and to my amazement, not only did he like it, but he went out and bought it. My dad (may he rest in peace) was 67 when he bought it. That was the very first time in my life that my father actually liked the same music that I did and spent money on it to boot! Parents, they never cease to amaze you!

Miss you mom and dad:( (I wonder if they have Youtube in heaven)

  • One of the best songs ever!!!

  • it's the voice and the guitar...I love the pain in lindsey's voice and his guitar solo priceless...

  • how the hell is everyone sitting down a this concert...? that's what I want to know

  • I came.

  • @Mustacheftw Me too. Like everywhere.

  • Fucking music!!

  • It's the voice, not the guitar!

  • have been a great FM fan for many years but only recently discovered this and Bleed to Love Her from 'The Dance' tour, WOW, have I missed out. Play them both so much now. Lindey's guitar and vocals are phenomenal!!!

  • Love this song and "Go Insane." Lindsey has a unique talent and Mick's about to rock that drum set off the stage!

  • Aside from Lindsey's obvious talent, his ability to portray every raw emotion he feels is priceless.

  • @bobbyfan418 Right on man. Anyone can learn to play the guitar. But to channel emotion through both your playing and singing enough to move an audience is a truly unique skill.

  • The guitar solo is one of my favorites. Buckingham rocks.

  • Amazing solo

  • the best electric guitarist i think is Jimi Hendrix no offense to lindsey i love his skills

  • this was written for Stevie Nicks as Silver Spring to Linsday Buckingham

  • Stevie exorcises her demons in Gold Dust Woman, this is Lindsey’s exorcism of his own…NO ONE plays guitar like Lindsey

  • @hudnae Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most underappreciated guitar players. He can easily play as good as people like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, and so on. This song proves just how good he is.

  • Stevie exorcises her demons in Gold Dust Woman, this is Lindsey’s exorcism of his own…NO ONE plays guitar like Lindsey

  • When you compare the likes of Eric and Jimmy you must include Lindsey and Steve Lut.

  • there are not enough superlatives in the world to describe Lyndsay Buckingham, this sends a chill down my spine

  • one of the best

  • One of the best guitar solos of all times. Breathtaking

  • like a lotta different styles mixed up , that organ sounds eerie, but good .I think thats what they wanted. stevie, her voice so meaningful, so full, and those drums.....ummmmm great song . buckingham ...outrageous

  • This is one of the few concerts in recent times where you can actually see Mick Fleetwood through his drum kit. I wonder if they rearranged it for that purpose. He looks like he's having a great time, but I wish he'd shut his mouth, for he's in danger of swallowing it all!.

  • Lindsey Buckingham's guitar solos are extremely underrated. I'd like to see rock bands fingerpick solos like he does.

  • Right up there with Comfortably numb by PF. Agree with coomet re LB Very underated just like Mark Knopfler. Kurt Cobain One hit wonder

  • One of, if not the most, underrated guitarist is recent rock history.

  • @rsreed63 I 100% agree!

  • @rsreed63 I hear you screaming, Brother!! VERY much agreed!! While his performance on this song KICKS ASS, it's his solo version of 'Big Love' (also from The Dance) that totally and absolutely reaffirms your statement! He's simply an incredible guitarist, singer, and songwriter of the highest order! Numaste.

  • @rsreed63 absolutely spot on there

  • Awesome. The intro reminds me of "Miles Runs the Voodoo Down"!

  • I was lucky enough to see this tour, and this song left me completely breathless...the sound filled the arena, it was incredible.

  • @6:45 to @6:55, i have literally never heard a guitar make that sound before, he made it cry and sing, spectacular!

  • this is the best live performance I've ever seen. if I wasn't sure, I would say that they're not playing, they're acting on the recorded song.

  • I cant help but creaming my pants everytime I watch this video. Its soo amazingly epic its not even funny.

  • I LOVE this version of this song! The older versions don't seem to have the raw passion that comes out of this performance specifically.

  • love how the blue's feeling of this song is WAY kicked up in this version!

  • I love Fleetwood Mac, another of my favorites. How can I not love with music so special? Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  • The Dance video is my favorite. I wore out 2 Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits CD's. And Lindsey B. is in the top ten guitarist in my book.

  • awwwww I'm the 599 'like' :D

But it really doesn't matter since this specific gig is one of the best I've seen in my life.

I actually can't stop humming this awesome melody.

And I totally agree on the first two comments on top.

    so amazing...

It might sound abit gay but damn it everytime I c the drummer I get a huge smile haha. Gotta love his face expressions and besides, it is always nice to see someone enjoy playing his instrument with so much fun =)

  • I love fleetwood mac, always have since i was a child. This is truly amazing, its Lindsays voice , truly haunting.

  • I wonder if the people in this group, realize how truly talented they really are? They are human beings with the what I'm sure are the normal insecurities but when it comes to their musical talent, do they really know how gifted they are, each in their own right and the high regards in which they are held by their fans? Lastly, I agree with alot of others that Mick's drumming and Lyndsey's guitar performance were incredible.

  • Great video!!! :D

  • The way Lindsy Finger Flicks those strings...He can Fake Chow with the best of them ;)

  • love it :)

  • Two people hit the Dislike button because they thought it said "Dis I Like"

  • This was mind-blowing live...will NEVER forget this part of the performance...left you completely breathless....Lindsey is a musical genius.

  • Como se chama este tio?

  • one of the best songs ever, played to phenom level, EPIC

  • i love how he dosent use a pick. his playing gives me goosebumps

  • 2 trolls must hate great guitar music... they should stick to Lady Gagamaggot where they won't hear any of that

  • 8 years old when I saw this live!! so grateful my parents have good taste !

  • Lindsey is an awesome guitarist...because Rolling Stone rates someone or not does not change how I feel about a performer...another underated guitar performer is Kieth Urban...

  • This song is the shit! (:

  • I don't want to BE Lindsay Buckingham (the position is taken), but to see and hear and feel this is to know that my luck is right up there with the lottery winners.

  • sexy....very sexy!

  • this has to be one of the best rock n roll tunes of all time, it is a classic and timeless. the harmonies, the drums, the bass, singing, all of it is exceptional. it should be in the top 100 rock songs and top 100 guitar solos also.

  • @lovethemac1 top 100? take off a zero... or maybe two ;)

  • @HariboStewieyes i love the way you think!!!!

  • When i was a little kid my dad did listen this song to me.

From that moment i like this song!

  • I've always loved the intensity of this performance. Lindsey shredding the guitar always fascinates me!!!! Fleetwood Mac forever!!!! <3

  • so much emotion, what an excellent voice!

  • I love Lindsay Buckingham! When I was a kid I thought Lindsay was the girl (Stevie) and Stevie was the guy! LOL Thank my lucky stars I had parents that raised me up with a love of classic rock. He will always be my favorite member of Fleetwood Mac and I will always cherish his music!

  • As a complete package (by which I mean a master guitarist, song writer, producer/arranger and live performer) Buckingham is second to none - including anbybody in Rolling Stones top 100.

  • sorry, i mean an studio album

  • @renat321 It's on their 1975 self-titled album.

  • @TheUnknown285 Thanks man, i search this song but i never find it, i am much blind

  • Cor!!!!!!! fantastic solo work by Linsey !!!! (never saw them but its good to see this online, thanks.

  • which album is this song?

  • @renat321 The Dance

  • If i had a time machine i would definitely go back to 97 and get tickets to see this, shame i was only 1 year old when this happened...

  • @beccamorrisfifteen haha damn right, I was 9 and remember my Dad jammin this with me in his truck on the weekends. I can't wait to put it on a cd so I can bring my lil boy up right. haha

  • The album version is amazing, but I think with Stevie's singing in the chorus, it's just magical...

  • Just Love It Pure Awesomeness!!

  • Hot bass licks by McVie, as usual. Guy really has it down.

  • I stumpled upon this song by accident and am embarrassed to say that I had never heard it before! What an astonishing rare gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have this video on a permanent tab on firefox at all times lol I'm pretty sure 60k of those views are mine

  • power...pure raw power!

  • Rolling stone can suck a dick.....just saying!!!

  • This THE SONG.Go at 3.45 and close your eyes. All the magic of Lindsay is here.

  • No one else on the planet could make this song work without a guitar pick!

  • Lindsay Buckingham's guitar work here is phenomenal. I've always loved this song, but watching him play is a true treat.

  • I wasn't at all familiar with this one until I found the 2-disc greatest hits collection from 2002. I've been in love with this (and "Go Insane") ever since. Thanks for the posting!
