  • ya right, that fat bitch is gonna help. sure!

  • @MrGeforcerFX Orcas actually are the largest dolphin, and yes they are "pack" animals. They, just like all other dolphins, live in pods. Of course a shark would be outnumbered but even a lone dolphin can kill a shark. Transient orca pods sometimes hunt sperm whales and win. They are incredibly strong. They are the Apex Predator.

  • Nooooo

  • That shit cray

  • @WymarLegion Dolphins have a rostrum hard enough to ram and kill a shark. Orcas, the largest of the dolphin family, are the oceans top predator, which means they are the Apex predator and are thus not ever the "prey". Even a bottle nose dolphin can kill a shark. So your argument is invalid.

  • @krazyface123 not to mention there pack animals, well i know dolphins are and i think orcas are too, meaning a loaner shark would really be out classed, Sharks are the top Predator for the Fish species but Whales rule the ocean as you said.

  • I don't think he likes living there.

  • pool too small

  • Some dolphins should probably be released into the wild, exhibit A

  • -jumps out pool- AAAAHHHH WHAT THE HELL IS THIS DAMN BURN CEMMENT OF DEATH AHHHHHHH HELP ME PLEASE HELP ME SURVIVE THIS FLIP OF DOOOMMMM!

  • Zoos are jails to animals and this dolphin wanted to be free poor thing.

  • this only proves that ppl who are so called dolphintraners dont know shit

  • Either accident or wantom suicide....

  • @FreedomCookiex accidental. Duh. They jump all the time and it didnt realize that there wasnt enough room for its landing. a dolphin is smart enough to know not to jump out cause it knows that once its out its fucked

  • And a whale comes to the rescue!

  • did u see how small that tank was poor bastard was tryna escape

  • Comment removed

  • @FreedomCookiex Yeah they are intelligent. So why would it jump out of the water where it would surely die? Lmao! It was most likely fucking around a little to much and accidently flew out of the pool.

  • @DoWorkNP maybe, but seriously you don't see this in the wild. i mean, there's a wall right there and the dolphin accident jump over it?

  • @FreedomCookiex You see them beached instead, dying in the sun....

  • @wanttoseemysnake but a wall's a concrete, and there's no current.

  • Dolphin: "Well shit...."

    xD

  • this is why they shouldnt have let shamu brag he was in free willy D: NOW THEY ALL WANNA BE FREE

  • Prison brake ...

  • That's y they shouldn't be kept in captivity

  • @SonySJ1995 we keep humans in captivity its called prison go cry about that

  • @MinoritiesRlazy they go to prison for committing a crime, what crime have these dolphins committed?

  • Lol it's just lucky tht it breathes air an not water.

  • this dolphin tried to commit suicide because it was taken away from its original home in the ocean (you people need to open a damn book once in a while)

  • @NRG2220 What's the name of this Autobiography this Dolphin wrote? I'd like to read it.

  • @SilentDiablo: look up the documentary "The Cove"

  • i bet u the second that dolphin hit the floor he was like "oh shit!!"

  • I thought dolphins were smart why he jump out ? Dumbass

  • Poor little dolphin :,(did he get put back in the water or die?

  • All I want to know is why are those fat bitches working there thay can't even run

  • y were they not splashing water on it? im 13 and i know there skin is special. thank you free willy for teaching me that :D

  • @breomans Yeah a 9 second clip is going to prove they never splashed water on their skin.

  • if the dolphin breaths air (obviously they belong in water) will they die for being exposed like that, in a similar way to a fish??

  • @MORGAN1992FREEM4N, no, because of the fact that they breathe air, they'll be ok, as long as they stay wet

  • @visiondevil21 why do they need to stay wet though?? it might be an obvious question but if they dont need water to breath what do they need it for?

  • @MORGAN1992FREEM4N, because when exposed out of water for too long, it can dry them up and cause them to die. that's why they need to stay wet. their skin is not like ours at all. they are way more sensitive than any human alive. They also need the water in their mouths to avoid dehydration

  • @visiondevil21 ah ok thats interesting thanks :)

  • @MORGAN1992FREEM4N, no problem

  • @MORGAN1992FREEM4N, that's why they are meant to remain in water. especially, when you're at Sea World. you'll notice that they come out of the water for a short amount of time. they just can't be exposed out of water for too long.their skin is very sensitive. the heat can dry their skin up pretty fast causing them to die

  • Hahahahahh idiot!

  • For all you know she could be the sweetest woman in the world no one should be treated like less of a person just cause they look different thats just cold hearted you all should really think about how you act twards others..

  • all you guys making fun of of that lady cause shes bigger you should be ashamed! just cause u feel bad or insecure about yourself does not make it okay for your to pick at others and make fun of them and saying those things just cause you think someone will laugh if you do thats sad you people are cruel and need to learn that others matter just as much as you do! some people cant help it they are born different that does not mean we are better

  • uhm......

time to put him/her back into the water dont u think?

  • @Safiroshi Better: taking her back to the sea...... This pool is far too small, I guess.....

  • @Safiroshi mature dolphins are over 500 pounds, they probably had to wait for someone to bring a sling. what should the trainers do, walk away?

  • awww poor dolphin

  • Don't fuckin just look at lift it up and put it in water

  • dont see no dolphin only a blue whale.

  • Yeh bring a fatty to do a heavy job

  • What happened to the dolphin? Did it die?

  • Dolphins are one of the animals that has the sense of committing suicide. Jumping out of the ocean and into land is one of the suicide acts. must be really depressed in a small tank.

  • poor whale

  • is the dolphin ok?

  • I need 25 CC's of Probebutalene....Stat!!

  • Placing these animals in swimming pools is fundamentally wrong. To say they enjoy or thrive in these settings is morally reprehensible and just plain wrong. I have studied these animals in the wild as part of a Canadian delegation to the Gulf Of Mexico and am saddened to read these comments, most of which are inaccurate and just plain wrong. Wow, things will never change if we continue to place theses beautiful, intelligent creatures in enclosures on masse.

  • the only way these animals will ever be free is if people stop paying to see them i guess.

  • @TheLoveDoc2008 the only way the masses can learn a lot about them is by interacting with them up close....

  • @WymarLegion all they learn mate is that dolphins can do cool tricks ....better to watch a good documentary on the tele about wild dolphins i think....i bet if those dolphins had a choice they would rather be free

  • @TheLoveDoc2008 they get to live in a place with free food just handed to them, no fear of predators.

  • GREG MAY of Orlando, FL says: In the 60's a pilot whale named Kay fell out of her tank at Marineland of Florida but she suffered no ill effects. She was watching the activity in the adjoining pools and slid up over the wall of her pool and couldn't recover herself. Read about Marineland on the website: florida backroads travel.com."

  • Annoys me how its in the sun. Poor thing is probably burning up at the time.

  • @Timmyme don't b I'm jealous because you aint there maybe you live in those places that they don't even have shows

  • @Desadesh

There are about 650 bottlenose dolphins in America at the moment.

0 are from japan. Learn your facts.

    Cited: @ /watch?v=giGMnvvjEiQ

The directors/producers LIED knowingly when they said that the dolphins are being sent to the states for the entertainment industry. 99% of the dolphins are used for meat anyways, it's not like a big number of dolphins are being used for parks. Sad people buy into the Cove bull shit.

  • @coley4evr how do they count them all?

  • @coley4evr You're a freaking moron. The Cove is exposing the truth about what is going on. Anyone with a soul or brain would not participate in any kind of abuse of animals by holding them captive and denying them their right to be free and live in their natural habitat with their familes. They are way more intelligent than fools like you. It is you who would do better obviously in a cage since you like it so well.

  • @2012newrevolution Then go tell the millions of people a year who go to Seaworld. Bye bye.

  • @coley4evr I just did, dipfuck.

  • @coley4evr 2012newrevolution is probley some stupid kid trying to piss people off. Trust me i tried being nice to him and he got all pissy and told me to stfu lol i blocked him sooo lol

  • That's so nice of the whale running over and helping that poor dolphin!

  • @DjDamyard ROFL good one

  • @DjDamyard

at first i was like what wall r u talking about then i had to replay it

  • @DjDamyard You're fucked up.

  • @DjDamyard OMFG you made my day buddy.

  • @DjDamyard You made me laugh for 5 minutes. HAHAA

  • @DjDamyard this comment made the video worth it!

  • Shut up Timmy, America is kickass. What country are you from and why do you hate America?

  • Im Westen werden die Tiere zu tiershows gezwungen und im Osten gegessen. Wtf??

  • stupid americans and their whale shows

  • LET ME FREEEEEEEE

  • @marmal08

we are animals and it is possible for us to commit suicide, and dolphins are self aware animals. therefore it is fully well possible that they can kill themselves. You need to educate yourself on dolphin intelligence and have faith in the unknown, anything is possible.

  • Exactly why they need to be kept in the wild.

  • poor dolphin, I don't understand why they were stroking the dolphin and not covering it in water while they waited for something to put it back up. Oh, and I agree with everyone who says we shoudn't pay to watch these poor animals swim around in tanks way to small for them!

  • Omg that is sad

  • Funny how you no life pussys fight over the most stupid ass shit... Really I mean get a life... :|

  • It just wanted to be free. :(

  • Dolphins have been known to commit suicide in many ways and this is one of them.......Remember Flipper he ended his own life this way and then the owner who appeared in FLipper is now the lead in trying to stop these parks because of the way they are capture all you small minded people who are paying to see this cruelty watch the cove and see what you have supported

  • that is no problem for sea world, they'll buy a new one in taiji, japan. one of the nice ones. the rest of his pod will be killed

  • I thought you said dolphin, I see a beached whale.

  • Finally, on this video specifically: It appears to be the medical pool. Dolphins don't spend much time in this area so it's unfamiliar. Also, the dolphin is quite young, adding to the likelihood of an unfortunate accident. And finally, if dolphins have succesfully applied other methods to execute suicide in the past (banging head or to stop breathing), why has this one chosen a different and ultimately unsuccessful method, rather than doing it the same way others were speculated to have done it?

  • I would like to add to my previous comment that I do believe these animals should not be used for entertainment and I strongly believe that they are capable of a complex range of emotions, in addition to their well-documented intelligence. Suicide however (in the desperate, emotion-based form we see in humans exclusively) might be too complex, which in no way demeans their cognitive abilities, but rather highlights the extreme complexity of the human brain that many often underestimate.

  • I'm not sure where I stand on the possibility of a dolphin being able to commit suicide. I find the research that has been done unscientific, unreliable, mostly outdated and insufficient. Even though dolphins are highly intelligent, premediated suicide requires a very complex understanding of abstract concepts: life and death, and the ability to weigh the costs and benefits of each(not even observed in primates other than humans). Without evidence it is more a philosophic than scientific debate.

  • putos torturadores!

  • Suicide is a Suicide! Sure the Dolphin knew what it was doing but who let the Whale out of the Tank

  • imma dislike this video not because i dont like it but kuz i dont like seeing a dolphin doo dat:/

  • there was one beached dolphin... THEN suddenly there is TWO!! @ :03

  • it seems to me that the dolphin wanted to commit suicide. There was a similar incident when a dolphin drowned himself.

  • dolphin:hey guys i missed my jump,srry i just wait.

  • DOLPHINS SHOULD NEVER BE HELD CAPTIVE

  • lol wtf cant they pick it up and throw it back in

  • Sea world looks really dangerous you've got whale attacks dolphins jumping out of tanks mhhhmm I ain't going to sea world!

  • dolphins have been known to commit suicide in captivity. they are highly intelligent and have been known to purposely stop breathing in order to end their own life.

  • @thehowl666 Iguanas commonly "commit suicide" as well. I don't know how much it has to do with intelligence really.

  • @Newbeboy well it has to do with intelligence cuz they have to premeditate the thought. i doubt iguanas actually think about it before they do it

  • coz this is a natural behaviour!!! NOT!!!!

  • Poor dolphin got his first taste of freedom the hard painful feel of cement! still he probably enjoyed it more than swimming in a fish tank >:(

  • shamu running to save dolphin @ 0:03

  • @ SuperCockism My money doesnt go to sea world it goes to places like SSCS and watch the cove dumbass this shit is cruel

  • the same people that acuse seaworld of animal abuse and captivity are the same ones that pay to go see the shows. stfu u hypocritical pussies.

  • :'(

  • he was actually trying to do the free willy jump into the open ocean.. well try again next time buddy.

  • Shut up all you PETA hippies and do some research.

I have interned at SW, and that area is the back pool system which is near their vet facility. They use those pools for the sick, pregnant, etc. This animal probably was ill; it was most likely not a healthy individual.

If you don't believe me, go to my profile. I have footage of Sully the Pilot Whale which I took at my internship who is recovering in a pool right across from this one, as well as their Commersons which are not on display atm.

  • @coley4evr I don't need research to know that animals are not here for our entertainment and that you disgust me for thinking its ever ok to put a whale in that pool, the fact is the tanks are too small and will never be big enough unless they are the size of the ocean. Because thats where they belong.

  • @TakeDownTheStreets lol u mad bro?

  • @coley4evr "lol" I'm a girl not your bro and I'm not mad simply telling it like it is :) tell yourself whatever you have to if it gets you to sleep at night, BRO

  • @coley4evr "This animal probably was ill; it was most likely not a healthy individual." You do realize the only reason a dolphin would purposefully beach itself in the wild is due to mental or physical illness. I think the same can be said for SeaWorld and their dolphins. In fact, the dolphins at SeaWorld beach themselves everyday for dead fish.

  • @JordyAdele All you did was prove my point. It was most likely sick. Yurr.

  • @coley4evr And I proved a point too. SeaWorld's dolphins are mentally or physically ill considering they beach themselves on a daily basis for dead fish. Of course, in this case I'm not sure what the motive was behind this particular dolphin's actions.

  • @JordyAdele They are not beaching themselves. Going on the slide-out is a LEARNED behavior; the trainers use operant and clssical conditioning to teach the animals behaviors and reward them a positive reinforcement. They do not view it as "beaching" themselves on the slide out. It is a skill they have learned which the dolphins have realized grants them a reward.

  • @coley4evr Actually it is beaching. In a normal whale, this would prove that they are mentally or physically ill. It also puts them in harms way. Their body weight is capable of crushing their internal organs when on land. Also, they are trained via positive reinforcement and appetitve leverage. If the dolphins did not desire the fish, or weren't hungry, they would not perform.

  • @JordyAdele My dod is allowed access to food in his bowl all the times with no feeding schedule; he is allowed to eat whenever he feels like it. Yet when I pull out a dog treat he does tricks for it. The animals are not starving, most if not all animals will work for food lol.

  • @coley4evr The whales aren't getting "treats" they are getting their meal. Of course, we wouldn't consider you abusive to your dog if you offered him a treat for giving you a "high five" or rolling over, but if you didn't give your dog any food at all until he gave you a "high five" or rolled over, that would be considered abusive. The trainers hold an appetitive leverage over the dolphins.

  • Comment removed

  • @JordyAdele The trainers DO NOT EVER withhold food. Even if the whales refuse to perform for the entire show, you can still see them giving buckets of fish behind the scenes. Take your pathetic, wrong views of Seaworld elsewhere.

  • @coley4evr The food must be desired in order for the animal to perform. In psychology, it's called an appetitive stimulus. To make the food desirable or "appetitive" you initiate a delicate balance between satisfaction and hunger. This training method "positive reinforcement" is actually very new at Seaworld. Cetacean training was built on food deprivation. Today, it is built on control and manipulation. The point of training is to control the animal and manipulate its behavior.

  • @coley4evr Please take a look at dolphinserenity's comment.

  • @coley4evr ; why are they sick?

  • Dolphins belong to the oceanns. Nowhere else.

  • PUT EM IN THE OCEAN SEA WORLD!

  • :(

  • Dolphins commit suicide!!!! They keep many other dolphins in the tank. There's no room for them all. Hence the reason why marine animals should not be used for entertainment. To quote Bob Barker " Seaworld sukks!". They round up these animals from the wild, keep the pretty ones and killed the rest of the pods. Watch "The Cove."

  • @ShamuKid that is why you rehabilitate them and "untrain" them before you release them dumbshit. You are a fucking idiot for saying that and if you do support captivity then you are an even bigger idiot because dolphins get stress ulcers and die in captivity. FUCK YOU

  • The ideal thing would be to put them in a natural lagoon where they can be taken care of by humans. I suggested that to one of the guys that works with the dolphins and he said that they have no space left for them. I think Sea World is so loaded with money, they shoud put them in a lagoon and in that way people could swim with them just like it is in Sea World Australia. At least they wouldn't be around walls!

  • FREE THE DOLPHINES !!!! GEEZ....

  • @pepcycool Freeing them would be murder. Do research.

  • See this happened in two different countries, here's the difference.

American Seaworld: Oh My God, get me some water buckets and towels.

Japanese Seaworld: Ho Boi!!! Enuff Eggwoll Fo Eveybody!!!!!!!!

  • As far as I know the dolphin was ok. They got him/her back in the water. If I remember correctly, it may have been a young dolphin that we saw. Sea World was great in there speedy response and resolution of this issue.

  • @slinenator The dolphin died, which is what it wanted to do. Captive dolphins are NOT happy living doing stupid tricks just to eat.

  • @italndiva This dolphins lived, smarty.

  • @slinenator SeaWorld should keep their dirty hands off of wildlife!!! h e l l o o o...dolphins, orcas, seal DO NOT BELONG IN TANKS!!!

  • @slinenator Yeah, they wouldn't want to loose their source of income and have to get another blood dolphin. Despicable place, no wonder the poor thing tried to escape.

  • I went this year (in 2011) to the only dolphin pool Sea World San Antonio has. It is used for petting and feeding the dolphins and it is called Dolphin Cove. I have been going to Dolphin Cove since 2006 and their pool doesn't look look at all like this one. Also, there are now 6 dolphins, half of them are calves, one dolphin is black one and two other are dark grey and the wall is so high it is impossible to jump over the wall. I'm thinking it's another Sea World.

  • @quelita28 This is San Antonio, it's just in the back, where the rescued dolphins are. Near the animal care section. You can see it if you go on one of the behind the scenes tours. We went during camp :)

  • @shamurocks1395 I want to go on a behind the scenes tour! I went on some when I volunteered for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and they were awesome and informing. How can I find info on these tours? I live in College Station now and I'm having "wild animal withdraw" lol I miss seeing the beauty of wild animals and of course reading and learning more about them =)

  • @lonewolfang The tours are very informative and really fun! Nobody ever has the same experience, and the animals are a blast! You might have to google SeaWorld to find their website or get to it through their FB page, but you can book them online or call them as well. I've been having the same problem since camp ended, believe me! :)

  • @lonewolfang Go to the beach to see wild dolphins and orcas. It's cheaper and you can be confident that you aren't giving your money to an entertainment corporation that's stuck on exploiting animals rather than conserving their species in the wild.

  • Shushi!!

  • looks like a whale jumped out too BA-DOING!! :3

  • Lol its so funny how the "procaptivity" people are saying the dolphin did it by accident. Look, quit trying to fool yourself dolphins are way to smart to do that by accident. This dolphin wanted to end its own life.

  • @Taikkah End with it's own life? That's so extreme! They also mistake, and curiosity can be dangerous too. Anyway, we can't know what they think.

  • @Corkian Look. No offense. But I've experienced dolphins in the wild and, unfortunatley, in captivity. And they are way, way, WAY to intelligent to just slip out of their tanks on accident. This dolphin probably lived its whole life in captivity(or even worse was captured in the wild) and knows whats on the other side of its tank, it isn't as rare as you think, marine mammals in captivity are known to commit suicide and develop mental problems.

  • @Taikkah If that dolphin really wanted to end it's own life, it would have simply stopped breathing. There have been orcas and dolphins who killed themselves by drowning before.

  • And you are Mr dolphin expert? Whales cannot commit suicide, they are smart but not that smart.

Btw. the activism against Sea world is absurd: look at all the wolves/dogs owned....

  • @AustrianAtheist Canids are NO WHERE NEAR as intelligent as whales/dolphins-cetaceans are believed to be the smartest of all animals after humans/primates. Comparing cetacean captivity to owning domesticated animals is a joke. Cetaceans purposley causing pain to themselves has been recorded several times, most of the time ending their own lives. Nobody can quite prove they are commiting suicide, but it's obvious they are unhappy in captivity.

  • @AustrianAtheist Taikkah is right...there are numerous instances of orcas, as well, imposing injuries to themselves often resulting in cracked skulls while ramming their heads again the walls.

These are 6 ton marine mammals we're talking about-can't pin them up in a shallow pond and expect things to go smooth. absurd to compare to wolf/dogs...

  • theres a reason why that dolphin jumped out of the tank.....and its called CAPTIVITY. it makes me sick.
