@crickiechickie I don't think she was necessarily over reacting about worrying about TSS, its just that when your not on your period, the tampon is dry when you take it out and that can be very painful to remove! It feels like sandpaper and can rub the skin inside your vagina raw :/
I like u by kotex better generally because they expand in a more comfortable way. I was really nervous bout using them the first time but now I don't even think about it! Tampax is better when protecting against leaks. I just wear a panty-liner underneath U by Kotex, just in case.
I was a loyal Tampax user for a very long time then I decided to try U by Kotex. I personally find the Kotex to be more comforrtable than the Tampax (not that the Tampax is very uncomfortable, I just seem to "feel" it more than the Kotex). With that said, our bodies are all different and our periods are all different. Something that works for me, a 29 year old who is 4'11 and has a history of heavy periods, may not necessarily work for a 5'7 16 year old with light periods.

Ok so i haven't got my period yet but my friend attended a period class and she was my "teacher" and a step was to see which one was more comfortable tamped or u by kotex well so I inserted each and wore it for thirty minutes I think the feel equally same thats my opinion :) hope I helped and if I HAD to choose for more comfort tampax but more absorbens I think u by kotex cuz the made like regular super so those are my opinions :) hope I helped byeeeeeee
@akivi622 I don't really agree with that. She only wore it for a half hour. If she'd left it in for days then yes, that is a problem but I don't see no harm in her trying them out. If your concern is something like TSS it would take a lot longer than a half hour for her to be at risk.
With that said pocketbook57, I really think you're not going to know what you like until you get your period. Wearing a tampon for a half hour is very different from wearing it for 3 or 4 hours.
tampax is better because it works its not just some brand that just has colours and are uncomfortable but tampax are better they work more better and are super comfortable for the new people who start useing it :D
@SweetZaria I actually hate Tampax Compak.. I can only use them if I am heavily bleeding because they hurt to insert. If I had to use a small compact tampon, it would definitely be UbyKotex... Thanks for your suggestion though! :D
well it depends a girls body feels diffrent some need softer less absorbant so it doesnt feel so fry some need very absorbant cause its always a mess it depends
@TheSupersweetsugar1 They both absorb the same.. U by Kotex are just more compact and seem to be easy to remove. Tampax pearl leak less and seem to hold blood a lot better. I've known because I have had seriously heavy periods. As in, putting in a super absorbency tampax pearl, and 20 minutes later, it was leaking like crazy. It's not the brand, it was just my body and I didn't choose the super ultra absorbency.
I prefer U by kotex den always, I actually just saw this cuz I wanted 2 buy my mom U by kotex tampons since I cant use them and I was wondering how much they can absorb.
I really don't like the tampax pearls because it seems like they leak before they're full.. I'm going to try the U by Kotex ones on my next period.. (:
@singdancelive100 Honestly, no. It looks weird though, doesn't it? It really doesn't feel as weird as it looks. Tampax Pearl tampons absorb a lot and I trust them more on heavier days.

@MelissaaaTeee Tampax Pearls are actually really comfortable. They just look weird in this video. They are an odd shape, but that doesn't make them painful. I use ubykotex whenever I leave the house or my flow is lighter. They are super comfortable, right?! :D
Although the Pearl might absorb just a more then U by Kotex, I find that with the style and shape, I have to wear a pad (not liner, pad) as well as the tampon when I try to use the Pearl.
@Kathylovestar Nope! If you get another tampon brand box and look at the aborbency, it should be the same as the U by Kotex absorbencies. So, the regulars are really regulars.. supers are still supers.. Nothing different. It might seem like they don't absorb as much because of the size, but they do. @Kathylovestar You can go the tampon brand website and they sometimes have coupons there. Also, if you buy a multipack of Tampax Pearl tampons, they sometimes come with coupons. I got coupons with mine. @mllluvsshopping331 Just because it says gentle glide, doesn't mean every other tampon isn't easy to insert. UbyKotex are small but absorbent. Very easy to put in and I recommend them to first time tampon users. So, I would use the UbyKotex, if you don't like it, try out other brands... Good luck and have a fabulous day!
you tested a regular against a super, retard, of course they are going to be different. FYI, tampon absorbencys are regulated by the FDA. They will not vary by brand.
Well, first of all, I tested different absorbencies PURPOSELY! To show that a regular tampon absorbs almost just as much as a super, and doesn't leak! RETARD?? @imthefunnygirl I'm going to send you a message about those websites. And you can't get an injury from a tampon, but you can get TSS. It's VERY rare though..

This probably would have been a better test if you would have compared the same absorbancies in different brands. I liked the suggestions at the end, though! Keep making videos and helping out girls! It's good to know I'm not the only girl on Youtube that has this idea :)
@AllAboutGirlStuff101 I know, I just didn't have any other tampons on hand at the moment. I was showing that a regular absorbency can hold a looooot of liquid as well as the super absorbency. Just showing that U by Kotex is a reliable brand. I'm sure I will be making a trip to the store soon to buy more tampons so I will make sure to get some different absorbencies to make another video. I tried doing one on Always Infinity but it didn't work out very well. I will be doing one on U by Kotex pads and Stayfree pads.. also Always regular flow pads.. Should be up this coming week!

I just recently switched to tampons. I use U by Kotex. I think they are very comfortable and I have not had any leakage problems.
