@xXFireBladeXx6 Thanks so much for your interest. After October, I'll do a breakdown analysis of this song so you can learn the parts. It's a busy month for me, so after I get through some things, I'll get back to this. Expect it sometime in November. Thank you!
Is is amazing what you said about the different parts of DD's music. Only this morning i explained to a friend that when you listen to DD's music you should peal it to layers and listen to each instrument separately and then understand the harmony (even the deliberate disharmony for milliseconds within songs that actually creates a new harmony like a song within a song).
Dom really does need to step forward with the rest of the lads now, he's proved his worth and is always the last to step up on stage for a bow and sometimes has to be dragged by either Simon or John lol!
The new album is amazing, they've really blown the 'retro' scene out of the water by making a new album straight from 1982/3 in parts.
Your cover is great, I'm gonna be subscribing...keep up the great work matey :-)
Totally awesome dude!! Thanks for playing!! And everything you said i cannot agree more!!! I can't wait to see their next concert playing this album live!!! :)
@ooriskyriskoo It will be great to see them playing this album live. I'm sure they'll have a lot of fun with the arrangements. Can't wait to see them when they hit the Southeast U.S.
What makes this guitar part sound very Duran Duran is the Reflex-like riff ... having said that, the Western-flavoured lick works brilliantly in this song!
@Geovana29ify Thanks for asking! :) Sorry, I've been really crazy busy lately. Just joined a new band and working on my solo guitar album. I will post Part 2 in about 2-3 weeks. Sorry for the delay...!
@ColAsterson Thank you very much. Do you have a vid of the bass part? I'll check out your channel. I was listening to the bass today and thinking how cool John Taylor is even when he's being understated. The bass and guitar on this song mesh really well together.
Great I loved it. Too bad you missed the right channel. In the next one I would also reduce distortion a little to enjoy a cleaner sound, but it sounds great, and that's a cool Tele by the way.
@pollo194 I totally agree. I had too much distortion and didn't quite capture that cool twangy sound that Dom Brown gets on the recording. However, good news! I've since dialed in the sound really good and I'll post a new vid with that tone and talk a little bit about it.
my only complaint is that you should have zoomed out a bit more so we could see your picking hand. sometimes it's not clear what you are playing with your right hand and would help hacky players like me learn the part a bit better ;-) tabs would be nice as well, but you can't always have the moon and the stars! thanks again for the cool video!
@isomatteo Thanks. I didn't realize that my audio was panned left, so I missed the guitar parts in the right channel, but there's not that many. Maybe I'll include them in a future video. :)
If u like that "western" style have a listen to "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse......the video is here on YT.....
