Don't listen to this idiot. Close accounts you don't use. Keeping it open may increase your score but so what? Are we really so scared of the upper class in this country that much that we would do exactly as they want. They want you to keep the cards open because then there is always a chance they will make a profit from you.

Actually, you should keep your Accounts still open, as credit card company's only charge you based on interest. So no balance, no fees, but unless there is a yearly fee. But that usually ranges between 30 to 60 dollars per year. So the only thing you need to worry about is to make sure that you dont use that card.

Because for a part of the credit , they calculate how much u used compare to how much u have .
