Someone should make a video of the Mpk49 From start to finish how to access the instruments and sound to how to record using reason in all .Had Mpk 49 for about month now still lost .This is not a plug in go kind of Keyboard at all.I am not sure if mines dont work or my lack of knowledge of said machine .

hey, I use ableton with my mpk 49, the faders , nobs etc... are automatically assigned to ableton but I can't change it, nothing responds when I go to midi , move a nob or watever to assign it but nothing responds. Can anyone help ? thanks

@eddiedazle i do not have the serial number for ableton so i can not use it i can only use the demo version. do you know how i can receive a serial number?

@kingwill86 well i have bought all my shit at guitar center maybe they can help, i went in one day and came out with like 2000 dollars worth of equipment and software, you can always check craigslist and see if someone will sell you their old software, you know.

i try everything but i still can't use the Note Repeat Button...it's not repeating enething and when i Select Midi Clock from Reason 4 my STOP, Play and FF RW won't work no more....what should i do?

You have to copy the MPK files into Reason's aplication data folder. There is a tutorial on youtube.

akai is a retrded company. there customer service and tech support suck. and they make an mpc without the auto slice function,no track volume and is weak on filters. thnx a lot!

Should I get this to go with my MPC5000 im purchasing? I probably wont be using the pads on the MPK but it looks amazing and they say the keys are the best on any controller. The price of this isnt to big an issue so disreguard that.

dude do your research, the keys on this thing are not the best on any controller.. check out a yamaha controller if you want a good board..

if u got an MC the buying a MPK is pointless jus for the keys, i wuld go with a standrd midi like an Oxygen.

like every answer...it depends. If you don't prefer to have your instuments sounds on the device, then the hands-down decision is XR20. If you want a pad controller for software instruments, giving you a larger library than the XR20, then the MPD32 is the choice. While you can use the XR20 as a MIDI trigger, it's not going to give you the control of the MPD32.
