i have an ipod touch 3g on 5.0.1 and this wont work. the theme i make shows up on winterboard but when i select it and respring nothing happens. please help

@LGandBLOODS yeah i am on ios 5 so i don't exactly know how to change them for ios 4.3.5 but if they work when downloaded from cydia go to your theme folder and see how they did it

To change the folder icon shape for ios 4.3.3 you need these 4 files and dimensions. Save them in the com.apple.springboard folder in Bundles

FolderIconBG~iphone.png (64x64) (all itouch's and iphone's)

FolderIconBG@2x~iphone.png (128x128) (only iphone 4 and itouch 4g)

FolderIconBG.png (64x64) (all itouch's and iphone's)

FolderIconBG@2x.png (128x128) (only iphone 4 and itouch 4g)

@Poppinheads124 I did that and it still doesn't work, I'm on 4.3.5 but I'm guessing not much has changed, when I download a folder theme from cydia it works fine however when I do it, it doesn't work. I can get the icon to be transparent like I want it to be but the background won't be transparent, I still get that default looking one.

Hi pal,

1st of all thx for the video...really helpful;

2nd, i did all steps, created my own folder icon and sshed it as you explained..worked just fine. Did it again for the Folder Switcher BG....(downloaded icon from deviantart), sshed it... doesn't work!!! The backgroud image inside the folders stills the original one!

Any suggestions?

You should make an all-in-one video, telling people where the directories of more popular mods are. Sounds are in /S/L/Audio/UISounds. A lot of the good UI stuff is in SpringBoard.app, etc. I usually avoid WinterBoard by changing everything manually.
