Hey, where did you get this model? Caboose Hobbies says the MMI K-28 isn't expected until December '08.

I got this well over a year ago. Maybe they are talking about the HOn3 K-28's. You may be able to find one advertised for sale in the magazines.

The chuff sounds good but the whistle is poor.

It sounds good, however most people had trouble with them failing after a short amount of time.

As you can see in the video, they are great. This video is not very good, I shot it with my digital camera on a friends layout. A few of the K-28's had minor problems when they first came in, mine did not. I was so happy with this that I bought a K-27 too.

Did it come with the sound decoder or is it a Soundtraxx Tsunami K Class?
