1. They're not 6 inches. Maybe around 2 inches at best.
2. They're not roaches; at least, I doubt they are. You can tell by the color and texture of the wings and the shape of the bug.

IT'S A BEETLE, DUMBASS. Cockroaches don't hold their antennae backwards, don't have legs like that, don't have a shell like that and the only cockroaches that large live in the rainforest.
Of the thousands of roach varieties on Earth, less than a dozen are pests at all. Most are harmless outdoor animals. NO pest species remotely approaches this size.
People are so fucking uneducated and so quick to kill harmless, beautiful wildlife. Those weren't maggots, either. Good god people are dumb.

Its not a roach, and those are not maggots.
Its a beetle and those are her larvae (babies), some species of beetle dont lay eggs, they incubate the eggs inside a special compartment in their abdomen until they hatch. Sometimes they keep the hatchlings inside for a while after they hatch, this is why they can move around immediately after birth.

That's not a cockroach, that's a Palo Verde Longhorn Beetle. They live in the Southwest US, are you from Arizona? I recently moved to AZ and I see these from time to time. Please leave them alone they eat roaches.
