It's amazing to think that the three point hitch of today works almost like the one fitted on the first commercially available tractor with 3-point hitch on it (the Ford-Ferguson 9N Tractor), it really was that important to tractors.
Very nice collection. I own a 79 Belarus russian built and really wish i would have invested in a farmall or deere. I purchased mine due to 4x4 and diesel option but boy i tell ya it sat for 6 years in a barn and i would take a 2 wheel drive American gasser any day before i ever rebuild one of these again
@brian93ist well it runs good and all but i just dont enjoy it as much as i do a international or deere. it has really low hours tho ill give it that. its a runner i guess i shouldnt complain
@wetstackindiesel they are good cheap tractors i saw one like new bring 8k and it had every option you could want 4wd loader cab air heat remotes it had a few hundred hours on it it was around 80-100hp
I was so hoping to see an Allis Chalmers like the one my grandfather had in the 1960's. He was retired from farming by then, but he used to give us kids rides on this huge Allis Chalmers yellow tractor. I still have fond memories of the distinct sound of that old tractor! I don't see any yellow ones on youtube or on other sites so far. Was actually hoping to hear one running! Do you have any idea what year his yellow tractor might have been? Thanks.
Great video, I remember especially the forage harvester and the 1957 wd 45 Diesel. My dad bought one of those new in 1957. Brings back a lot of good old memories
great history lesson ,great machines the farmalls and Allis Chalmers , do you have any fords on the farm? 8Ns 9Ns Naa 2000 and so on i have a 1951 8N that i dome some farming with, great old things strong! good for plowing and all kind of pulling , i am looking for a farmall, what kind of Money Would one be? something arond 35 to 40 HP thanks
nice one, we run a 2 day show called "yesterdays farming.", all old machinery, incl` horses, and is a "working event" 1000`s of people come. incl`s.. combining, match ploughing, hay making. thrashing, with steam engines, thatching, cider making. and old hand crafts, etc.etc,, we have a great time.., --Taunton, somerset, England..
