I broke two older DeMarini Voodoo bats this year - one during BP with a similar break as this one and another one that was during a game on 6-26 where the entire barrel was cracked lengthwise. It made a very strange sound on contact almost like a plastic bat. No real loss though since the league is going to all wood this year anyways.

Easton makes garbage bats. I've never used one in a game since this about what you can expect lol

It was because of the composite handle. Composite is a lot less durable than aluminum/alloys.
