His power is in his shoulders along with accuracy. Kinda like how De la Hoya was back in the day. Some people call it "skinny boy power". Plus he throws over 200 punches a round. Either way dude is one of the most acccurate strikers in mma today. People think he throws lil pitter patter punches, but he does sick combos that are pit pit pat, then BAMM, some power there. Was never a huge fan of Diaz until EXC when is persona started to come out, Thnx for the vid though! Cheers

@captainclutch in mma there tagging it as "pepper shots" i kinda throw punches like diaz, and the power comes from forearm and elbow. cant really explain it but there so much explosiveness and torque in such a short amount of distance there no need to wind up and with no wind up its hard to predict wen the punches are coming not to mention it makes accuracy so much better.

@captainclutch Yea, much of his power comes from his fluid accuracy... if you watch Joe Calzaghe he has the same kind of thing going on, plus they both are volume punchers too. I'm an antique boxing enthusiasts for lack of a better term and Diaz's stand up is a lot more like old irish boxers than modern day. He utilizes his own centerline to exploit his opponent's more than anyone in MMA today, that is something moder day boxing hasn't seen much of either except for Floyd, Joe and Pacman.
