@TheAzure4 So do you believe that a God exists or not?? if you don't then this argument is not for you....if you want to do whatever you want and claim its benefits go ahead, I am arguing that being gay is not proven to be genetic by anymeans, and that just cause you have a desire/instinct doesn't mean you are entitled to act on it...if you agree then it's a choice and we all have freedom of choice enjoy doing what you think is right.

@TheAzure4 hi,well I didn't reply to your "biblical" concerns because Iam not a christian Iam a Muslim, so Ihave no idea if the bible actually says anything about blacks slavery in Islam is tackled in a progressive manner,so I can't really comment on what Christians say regarding that issue....wasn't dictating anything but that people should stop saying its genetic and pick and choose about what science gets to say on this subject. @nevashiva i never said that your beliefs were silly and im sorry if you took it that way. I was just trying to say that from where i sit they dont make much sense as a result of my world view being different from yours. As long as you don't force your beliefs about homosexuality onto other people i have no problem with them. But when peoples religious beliefs start to effect people who don't share those beliefs then something is very wrong.

@TheAzure4 Ok its ok no harm done, I agree with you, no one should be shuved with any beliefs which should be the defensive mantra of gays instead of the "i have no choice", that's what alienates straights cause straights do have various desires and they don't pursue them for whatever reason, why blacks resent "gay is the new black" cause its just isnt that simple. And what got me ranting here is the huge amount of comments claiming 1its proven to be genetic and 2that anything genetic is bliss

@TheAzure4 same for 'religious' people they don't hear you saying, I don't believe that God made me this way to be miserable, I CHOOSE to be happy doing what I want, instead gays say I have no choice god made me gay and want there status to be absolutely sympathized with which is...well...idealistic? to not feel 'ok' when someone says gay is bad and, 'feels' like a personal attack, its the same to them as well you're saying what they believe in is false...their temptations shouldn't be fought?

Even if being gay is genetic, it does not mean it is not a disease, there is something called genetic diseases....And there is no proof it is genetic, or that it is not for that matter, but that's besides the point we are not animals, if I am an animal i'd be at the mercy of my instincts so if I feel like biting someone for disrespecting me I would immediately do it, but humans have CHOICES i can say yes this is my instinct no I won't act on it. @nevashiva Homo Sapiens Sapiens are animals. Homosexuality is not a disease because it does not fit the definition of a disease. While there is no "proof" that homosexuality is genetic, no studies have shown that any environment, both emotional or physical, has a correlation with sexual orientation. So logically, if environment is not a factor, then it must be genetic.

Sexual orientation is a result of human development from embryo to puberty controlled by the biochemistry of numerous protein pathways encoded by many genes on our X and Y chromosomes. There are many studies on the various processes that occur during the development phase that lead to a particular sexual orientation. Please make your conclusions after some self-education, sheesh.
