  • How much is it, and where did you get it? I need a new camcorder cause mine is getting old.

  • @PUPPY234567

This one is getting old, too. (This video is from 2010 and the camcorder is from 2008)

  • Lol he spent more time talking about the bag then the actual camcorder!!!

  • @beafle

That is because there are TWO other parts where I exclusively talk about the camcorder itself!

  • Nice video. Do you get different audio results with different capturing programs??? Since you mention Windows M.Maker at the start

  • Yes, the video capture program of my new computer is complete garbage. It sounds horrible. Captured with my old computer and its Windows MovieMaker it sounds a lot better.

  • Very nice camcorder.

  • Haven't you ever thought about buying an HD pocket camcorder like Kodak Zi8? To shoot your videos in HD.

  • I still love mine :D

  • No, I hate these pocket camcorders. No good zoom lens, no automatic and no real manual focus (just that close up/distance switch) and because of the way they're build it's impossible to hold them steadyly. So I'll never get one like these. I currently also don't need HD because we have nothing to play back HD video. Also I don't think that our computers are able to process HD (I mean the real AVCHD). And also my internet connection is way too slow to upload HD video to YouTube.

  • Ok i understand you. I thought the same until i tried out such camcorder myself. In my opinion they have more positive sides anyway. And i can say that your new PC has enough power to process HD. The thing is that even the cheapest pocket camcorder has much more crisp and clear picture than any SD camcorder. There are some issues about bad low light sensivity, noise and something like that, but still once you try HD, you'll never went back to SD again.

  • The video stops at 1:34

  • @WargMX put &fmt=18 in the URL, it changes the format and usually solves that problem. Plus it plays in higher quality.

  • Oh, it works now

  • I sometimes have that problem, reloading the video usually helps.

  • I tried that over 5 times haha

  • I'm now looking at a Sony FX1 HDV. A great camera .

  • Wow... a really professional camcorder! I'd love to have one of these, but they're way too expensive!

I'm currently afer an old fullsize VHS camcorder. The problem is to find one without these nasty capacitors that cause so many problems! (The camcorder must be made before around 1986)

  • Yeah very pro and you're right very expensive, so I must save hard!

I think most of the shoulder mount camcorders that had capacitor problems tend to be around 1990 to 1996 for soem reason. Most made before that must use a different set up and seem fine.

  • That's good to hear! Most of the offers on Ebay are just saying "We don't know if it works", so there is always some risk...

  • Ive been buying off ebay for a good number of years now so I get to know the listings and whether its worth it or not...comes with experience. Yes I tend to steer away from the "untested" auctions.

Of course, old video cameras are much cheaper in the USA, and they tend to have a lot more choice of good cameras there. I buy a lot from there and get shipped to Australia. It depends on the price and also if the shipping isnt too expensive. Worth a look though Jonas as you can get some gems.

  • Some to recommend you can find on ebay Germany today: Sony CCD-V100E Grundig LC 295 Grundig VS 150 This one: 160414041810 And these: Panasonic NV-M5EG Philips Explorer Canon A2 Canon EX1/2 (if working) And I have two of these now with one going spare 260568147540
  • On the USA site, check out these very cheap and big camcorders!

    380214004550

    330412683850

    120542047255

    180480892252

    290413854240

MAybe Vwestlife can help here about buying in the US?

  • nice deal!

that camcorder sure looks great, and like vwestlife showed with a FS200 you can do a great direct hookup from audio equipment using an attenuation cable to the mic input.

lowepro produces lots of diffrent camera bags, i used one for my old camera, great thing. now i have a sony camcorder with an original sony bag.
