A nice companion to the original by El Chicano. The Fifth Dimension always did everything with style and class. Very good instrumental and vocal arrangement.
@Brahmsfourth El Chicano DID NOT originate this song, it was Gerald Wilson the jazz composer who arranged and created Viva Tirada in the 60's. Gerald Wilson created composed, wrote and arranged "Viva Tirada".
I love this version since i was a kid, always playing the 45 RPM vinyl with the title "Never My Love" on B-side.....El Chicano's version is also great !!!!
Gerald Wilsons classic put to words by an incredibly talented quintet. The Vietnam war was still raging, American cities had been ravaged by riots, hippies were sreading their message of "peace and love" and here the Fifth Dimension reminds us that humanity and mother earth offer up so much good. Viva you, viva me, viva earth, viva sky etc etc. Wish we could go back to those times.
Viva paper towels. Not a paid announcement.
