  • love the camera man's reaction haha

  • Sound like fun.

  • quite loud there

  • Awesome!

  • If you're looking for a P3, look on ebay now. I saw one for $420 with free shipping.

  • If anyone wants a set of these, there's a company that will sell you a complete kit: k5la train horns, new, with air compressor, air tank, all hoses and fittings, and a switch; not cheap, about $1500, but they're new with all the supplies you need. For slightly less, you can get the kit with a k3la instead.

  • im going to get me a set of thoes for my truck

  • sweet

  • @TrainHistorian

My friend who worked for Amtrak said that the k-series Nathan Horns were getting stolen out of the yards quite often. They are going to have to weld them on there. Serial numbers are on the horns- ask to see the serial numbers before buying?

  • where can I buy one of these from or were can I get one and restore it?

  • I have a set of K5LA's on my Ford F450, whats nice about them is people get out of my way when I am heading to the Fire Station for a call! lol

  • To think some people get tickets for a loud speakers. And now I know of a trend that crosses between lowrider hoopdies and hillbilly pick-up.

  • where did u get ur K5LA's if u dont mind me askin.

  • I got them from my friend who works for the railroads. He buys them broken and rebuilds them.

  • very nice I have an old P5 off an ex NS unit that I am going to mount on my truck

  • @bigballen09 can i buy some from him? i would love to have the real deal instead of the off brands and will pay top dollar!

  • They are all over on eBay- search "Nathan Horn" or "K3HA" and its on there. Typically around $450-$600.

  • How did you go about mounting the horn under your bed? I have a P3 that I'd like to mount under my Tacoma and I'm just interested in how you did it.

  • You will have to ditch your spare tire- no way around it- then take a 2x4 and mount your horn to that- then mount the 2x4 with the horn on it to your spare tire rack/holder thingy. This way is better: you can mount the horn, compressor, & tank together to a flat board, then attach it to your spare tire wind-in reel and raise and lower the whole thing just like a spare tire. That way makes it easy to service/work on and show off... A P3 is pretty tall, but it should work fine.

  • Beautiful horn and sound! Keep it how you have it at 100psi. Anything over 130psi will do nothing but harm it.

  • Yeah, that horn sounded better than the other k5la horns Ive heard. It was tuned perfectly.. Ive blasted 200 psi through these and they hold up fine. Tone was the same- just a bit louder but not much.

  • I got a set of those air horns on the roof of my van...I am using a 1/2 inch airline with 125 psi hitting these horns and it is so freeken loud...it will rip your head off... Have fun with your set man...I love the set I own...

  • That horn actually sounds good

  • I think if you switched to 1/2 inch, it would sound better, I got a M3H, and I'm using a 1/2 inch setup at 150 psi...Love your horn tho!

  • Thank you. Yes that would be a K3HA under the truck.

  • Nice video. And maybe a set of K3L under the truck?. waiting for more videos!
