If you knew anything about Incubus then you would know this isn't true. In their newer songs you can't hear the turntables as a lot of the time is playing keyboard (or another piano-like instrument). Chris adds a lot to a lot of Incubus' songs and maybe if he wasn't involved in a song then you would recognize the difference more. I suggest you listen to Battlestar Scralatchtica if you underestimate his involvement. I can name heaps of Incubus songs which wouldn't be the same without him.

I am a DJ myself and this is not what DJs do. DJs can range from scratching to sound effects, or even mixing. All these things make the band that the DJ is in unique. If you take out the band DJ like in Slipknot or Linkin Park, the band could still be good, but it would not be nearly as unique. It would just be singer, guitar, bassist, and drummer like every other band on the planet.

I think the person who made this video has much more spare time on his hands than kil does during a live show.

Kil's sound in incubus is completely organic. I couldnt think of using that description for any other 'rock dj'.

Especially now that he's expanded his repatior to moog, keys, etc.

Plus the fact that majority of his sounds arent just record scratches, he records some crazy stuff and mundane stuff, and makes it sound spanktastic.
