the monster porsche cayenne you talking bout is the cayenne tornado with 750Hp and Nm 1080, that one has the benefit to go down to 4,1, same as the hamann X6 which does it in 4.0

@Achilleas71 no it wasnt' car and driver doesnt do comparison tests with a 750hp SUV vs 500HP suvs. kind of unfair. and u should know that on dealership websites, the time is a CLAIMED acceleration time, not actually road tested. car and driver doesn't go to company websites to get info, the test performace numbers themselves and actually quoted "we have a tendancy to beat porsches claimed performance numbers. i dont know why porsche would downplay their own superb vehicles but they tested a 4.1

All of your replies make it sound like i did. over and over ur saying the performance numbers of the bmw when i didnt even mention a single one. in the magazine the X5 pulled a dead even 4.0. but i stand by the cayenne 4.1

@devster117 i know for fact and i saw both at the test at nurnbergring that x6m is faster then the porsche turbo s. anyway both manufacturers and test says the same thing. But you have other information we others dont have. I know and the world know and the own manufacturers know that the X6 M is faster then the porsche S turbo in both 0-100 and 0-200 (more difference in 0-200 then the porsche is way back.)

@juancho939 WHAT?? i hope you didn't just say that a cayenne GTS does 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. How can a gts with 405 hp be faster than a turbos with 550??? On porsches own site and other test, the GTS does a 0-60 in 6 seconds even at best.

dude. look up NEW statistics Tireburner. the cayenne turbo S is 550hp at 553ft-lb. 4.1 is accurate.

@devster117 i dont know how u count, but the acceleration on both this cars u describe is. Porsche cayenne turbo s with 550hp doing 0-100 in 4.8s. and in opposite the X6 M doing it in 4.5s and the hamann doing it in 4.0 s.. So sorry dude but the bmw is doing little better :)

m6 its not a bad car but for that money u can buy almost everything else on the market (similar model) at that price or a bit lower and it would be a better car . And the x6 is a horrible looking car , the best new bmw out there now for me is the m3 noone can argue with that . i hope u see this before they cancel my review cuz they are not willing to accept the truth about these cars .

Really? And what car would be the better car to the M6? I hope you are not thinking "GTR" cause the M6 is not marketed towards that. The M6's true competitors are Aston Martin's Vantage and DB9, which are both slower than the M6 and more expensive, and also the CL63 which is outhandled by the M6. The Audi R8 is not a direct competitor, but the M6 also outruns it in a straight line, and with the new 2009 M6 equipped with BMW's new optional Competition package it is faster around the tracks too.
