  • Very nice :)

  • amazing!!!!!

  • Congratulations, that's lovely.

  • It does sounds like a Brownie piece, awesome, im still working on the firsts ones...where did you get the partitures?

  • I just used Brouwer's arrangement. You can find copies of the music pretty easily now; there's even some editions that have all twenty of the first estudios in the same book.

  • Nice job, I didnt know thesewere hard to find , I got my book in butler PA no less.

  • `quite nice;)) adorable, charming piece. in my opinion it doesn't sound like Brouwer at all, but still it's great.

    `kind regards

    `Justyna;)) ;*

  • agree, you should try to add more dinamics to it

  • i loved the leo snake man, you are awesome

  • Thanks for the comment. I should probably make a video sometime for leo snake, no?

  • that would be great

  • Yeah I still need to clean this up a little...so many songs, so little time. My name is Joe Ellis and I live in Philadelphia. I'm actually relatively new to classical and have been playing jazz for much longer. I'd write my website, but youtube won't let me, so I'm gonna try to spell it out for you - joellis(dot)org. I hope that makes sense, thanks for commenting.

  • Actually, this study is from Brouwer's second set of etudes, written in 1981. Not all of Brouwer's work is avant garde; over the years, his compositions reflected many different movements in classical music. While I still have room for improvement in my performance of this piece, I was taught how to play it by Ernesto Tamayo, who was taught how to play it by Brouwer himself in Cuba. No offense, but I trust his opinion over yours.

  • You really master this study! Cheers!

  • nicely done.one problem: the camera is showing us your face, not the guitar...

  • yeah, a lot of people have told me the same thing. I shot these videos quickly because a woman needed examples of what I do as she considered hiring me for a wedding gig. She had never met me, so I felt the need to get my face in the shot, and the camera I'm using makes it difficult to get both my hands and face in the shot since it is embedded in my computer. In future videos, I plan to put more effort into framing and positioning. Thanks for your comment.

  • bravo..uno degli studi che preferisco
