I feel Carole's pain. I've moved from 5 barns and every school horse I used to know except 1 is gone. I really feel bad for her, she finally found a place like me and someone goes and takes it. I would never let someone do that to me, my farm is my home. But I HAVE lived by the policy of treating everyone as family, the only exception would be if the start becoming far too friendly with your horse.

I'm not offended by ur comment allymiluv. I was in 2 walk/trot courses. (English Equitation, and Western Equitation) and I also did a small trail course. I didn't do dressage. Although maybe when I learn to canter, they'll teach me. I did however ride alone in a western saddle at my last lesson Sort of. The side walkers were still there bit they wern;t holding onto me

Horses are a lot of money and time. You have to make sure you are ready financially and practically before you even think about getting a horse. But do lessons. :) you can ride and you don't own the horse. :D

@englishrider94 Lesson horses are cool, but you'll have a better bond with your own horse. School horses are around a lot of people, but if you have your own, you'll be the one with him the most. I am fortunate. I ride a school horse, and i have a bond with him but it took me over a year to finally get him to trust me. I would love to own my own horse
