We actually get that the real Universal greeting was Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong. We just thought that it sounded about as ridiculous as the Umbongo Fruit Drink jingle.

We love this movie, these are tributes to the absurdity of Transformers... and product placement in movies.

Yeah, the satire on this one is especially astute. Even when I was a little kid, I thought the "universal greeting" line and the scene itself really was retarded and unnecessary. This really made me laugh; it makes about as much sense as the actual scene.

It's a joke at the expense drink that was popular during the eighties that had 1) a cartoon to sell it and 2) its sort of trying to show up product placement in movies. I mean Transformers was used to sell toys.
