  • A sense of calm I think is normal. New evidence suggests that doing meditation daily can improve memory.

  • Um. I feel asleep. Is that what's considered normal when listening to this?

  • Beautiful

  • "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf."

  • Lovely! This reminds me of the beach we spent a lot of time at when I was growing up in California. Same colors, waves breaking in a similar way. And the sound of the waves! Nice for a short meditation. Thanks! But also makes me want to grab a boogie board and head the, um, 1,000 or 1,500 or so miles back to the beach!

  • I love the ocean.

  • Very calming. Growing up on the coast, I have always found that sitting and just listening to the waves is a great way to center myself.

  • Yes I find the same. There is something special about water. Did you know that if you immerse in water the presure activates the parasympathetic nervous system which brings about calm. Thanks also for the friend request. Happy to be your friend.

  • This CAN be used for a mindfulness for sure. It's about observing firstly.. so can watch this video and overserve the sounds and what the waves look like etc.. then just comes the describing and participating. Watching the waves or ocean or anything like that is great for mindfulness. You can use almost anything to practice mindfulness.

    Thanks for posting this vid.

  • Urgh, where's my comment from half an hour ago? Sorry for reposting if it does happen to appear eventually....

I had been saying, it's surprisingly difficult to find such videos on youtube, and if anyone knows of other similar ones, please tell me! To be precise, small lapping (not crashing) waves and a still camera....

    Thanks!

  • Hi LumierexCosmic

This is my local beach near Byron Bay in Australia. If you have a particular video type or length I'd be happy to make one for you.

  • i'm french and I was around there, it's beautiful.

  • Oh cool.. been to byron quite a few times. I'm on the mid north coast.

I once stopped over night in my "camper van" in that parking lot to the left of the beach.. it was $130 view to wake up to when i saw the fine on the windscreen lol.

  • Oh bad luck. If you come this way again I know people free camp at South Gloden. There's also a new free camp provided by the RTA at Yelgan, rural not ocean views.

Now I know people like these videos I'll post more. I have some of the surfers in Byron off Clark's Beach paddle surfing where you stand on a long board and use a single paddle to catch waves. It's pretty cool.

  • Surprising, but it's so hard to find videos like this on youtube....if anyone knows of any more, please tell me! ; )

  • Yeah same.. i'd like to find other vids like this too.

  • This is not mindfulness, but it is a great video to relax...

    Thanks

  • this is not real meditation and it is not mindfulness

  • just like being there

  • aloha
