This song brings back so many memories. My brother and I used to play it on the piano when we were kids but he's passed away so listening to this brings a smile to my face. GREAT.
There was a string of songs that were recorded in the '30s and turned into more up to date sounding doo wop in the early '60s.Every one of them turned into a classic, like the Chimes' version of Heart and Soul
@theenforcer1977 i heard it was in stockton but it was a different name for movie purposes and all - they didnt want kids re-enacting the drag race seen which makes sense .would be cool to have a thousand cars line the road and party like the 60's - bring on the 55' and the deuce for a memory run - lets go
@nutbagbrew102 -how come all you dumb as a rock neocon warmonger scumbags think anyone who dumps on you hillbillies is a "lefty"? Just because you dream of sucking off Obama doesn't mean I do, too, redneck. That must be why I have 400 Ron Paul clips on my channel, right? Lay off the bong, turn off the cartoons and buttrock, and think about moving out of your mom's basement someday.
@nutbagbrew102 -the streets could be lined with thousands of Obama worshippers like you - and all you libs could party like it was the 60s...LOLOLOLOLOL!!!
@272LBCRT25 Wow, I am so impressed! I mean, when you get down to it, who actually, really cares. When this came out, nobody, and I do mean...NObody, really cared, it was just good music, and to us, it just came out, and we liked this version and didn't really give a rip, who recorded it whenever, before this one. And don't give me any crap about it, that's just the way it is and was!!
The 50's was Indeed a Great Era Music Wise ! Just to hear these Old Songs again Bring Back Some Great Memories of the Good Times we had back then In spite of Other Things !
How long before they take this down, the way they did all the other originals that were put up on Youtube? Somebody owns the rights and doesn't want to share.
This surely will live on forever and ever.
Perhaps it's Heaven's theme song.
I would certainly like going up those pearly gates dancing to this.
Thanks.

This song was originally released in 1938 and it was NOT DOO WOP. Music was written by Hoagy Carmichael and words by Frank Loeser. : )
