they are some 2 fucking pricks talking shit about overkill on my channel just go to my videos and go to the only overkill one and you will see them fail lol
Honestly my last over kill album i purchased is the years of decay(i have under the influence LP that i purchased on that prebius time!)and over kill is not the same with out Bobby g.He owns over kill, the band had many guitar players after his departure and they just don't click.
Punk didn't originate because of Metal. In fact, Metal Heads and Punks didn't get along AT ALL. Punk, the movement anyways, kind of resented Metal since it was influenced by Blues. To the Punk perspective, Metal kinda stole the black man's music (Blues and Rock 'n Roll) and reshaped it to fit white's style. Although they eventually combined to form Thrash Metal and Crossover, the two were originally 2 separate entities.
Punk seems to have a more hardcore sound probably due to their attitude in the vocals.Overkill sounds more thrash and the singer has a higher pitched voice.I don't know, they used punk and metal to make thrash so very thrash band has some punk in it.The singer of overkill doesn't seem to be very punky to me.
I was talking about Anthrax, they have more of a Hardcore sound, same with Slayer(with Venom influences as well), Metallica on the other hand is more punk influenced. And every band in thrash has their influences from British Heavy Metal. Overkill has the most influence from British heavy metal, esspesially the vocals.
Ya, the vocals are awesome for overkill.I heard that he had the same style of singing as bruce dickinson but changed it so it would fit in with thrash metal.
I always thought the same exact thing, except its just better than Iron Maiden. Thrash has only three influences, Punk, Hardcore, and British Heavy metal. And Thrash started extreme metal, some crazy music that sounds awesome!
Yes they were, if you listen to Slayer and compare to Metallica, you would here that Slayer has much more Hardcore and British Heavy Metal influneces. Then listen to Metallica songs from Kill Em All, and a couple punk songs you will hear similairities.
and scott ian wore public enemy shirts doesnt mean he was rap influenced. but ya punk did help start thrash. overkill even covers a punk song FUCK YOU is a cover.
i know this is a response to a comment that was made 2 months ago but yes metallica are punk influenced. listen to their first album called "Kill'em All". That album is VERY influenced by punk.
If you want high vocals you have to listen to heavy metal. With thrash metal they have the speed singing and thus there is no room for high vocals. That's why I like Maiden and Priest.Heavy metal with insanely high vocals.Youtube painkiller and number of the beast for your high vocal needs.
3 letters for what?To prove that overkill is just as hardcore as anthrax?I already said all thrash is part punk.Without punk there would be no thrash.I know overkill feels a little punk or hardcore, whatever you want to call it.You don't need to keep throwing out bands.I get it.JESUS.
tim was an awsome drummer i think sid was better though, but ron is awsome he really tears it up, not he doesn't have the same kind of power the other drummers had though.

Thats because lots of people dont, but Punk did help inspire lots of thrash, along with hardcore, and British heavy metal.
