  • Yes. Silk reeling and learning to open and close the Kua will build a lot of power and also help with transfering postures in the form. If silk realing is done properly with a root you can feel the power from the hips and kua.

  • While attending seminars and listening to a knowledgeable sifu on fa-jing may help one into his/her quest, frankly, if one has not reached up to that "level" of attainment & understanding, one will not be able to grasp or understand even if you show it practically. I have been through this learning curve only to realize that I don't grasp it when sifu demonstrated this technique a year ago. I do now - a year later. My quest continues.

  • Why do you label videos with the term FA JING, when they have no FA JING in those videos? All you're trying to do is garner attention with cool words.

  • @micsir888 What are you on about???

You train the skills of Fajin by your self in the beginning!

You are saying there no people flying backwards etc, then fine.. if you're not into learning real shit, watch another video!

  • @micsir888

Fa jing is basically the power that comes from proper alignment and being able to use your hips properly. It is a mix of flexibility and alignment. This is the first step to fa jing. You must be loose to generate the power. This is similar to the silk reeling effects on your hips too. I am not trying to be mean but you should probably watch the video again?

  • @micsir888 Yeah great comment dick!without the basics there is NOTHING and Luke is one of the very few putting out the real info, have some friggin respect!

  • Good talking about the centerline and off- balanceness. I heard that Fa jing has a lot to do with the hips. Fa jing is good stuff, stay with it.
