If we discovered that smoking roses resulted in a high, would we outlaw roses and punish the people that grew them ? All plants and fruits were put on this Earth to enjoy! I am 52 and can't believe that weed is still illegal. It's just so so wrong!
The interviewer is a clown. That is the problem with liberals, he deliberately went up to that trooper to try to be a douche. That cop OBVIOUSLY knows there are people smoking weed, but he doesn't care. He let's them be high and play their terrible music.
That cop clearly doesn't give a rats ass if they are high. He is just glad they arent drunk. Now, what happens if that group is all high on meth? Would you pot heads expect him to do something about it?
I agree with rights, but you guys put this cop in between a rock and a hard place. Do you think he is going to say "you are allowed to smoke illegal drugs" on camera? No. He would be in big crap with his boss. His job is technically law enforcement. He doesn't get to choose which laws to enforce. Especially if he's on camera, he should be careful lol
I think cops aren't the problem, they are just doing their job. I respect them for it. This cop was a really nice guy. You're better off focusing your efforts where it matters.
@siranar "Just doing your job" Is submitting to authority over morality. Simply put, If somethings done just for your job or money you literally lack a soul. :( I believe discussing someones lack of a soul is worth an effort. I know that sounds demeaning, but if you look at the definition of soul (Spiritual or otherwise) you'll see what I'm saying.
Soul: the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life
@bjsandman111 The constitution doesn't give you the right to stop anyone from using mind altering drugs. To stop you from using mind altering drugs such as caffeine and alcohol. I'm not sure what your point is.
Okay then you should run to all of your family and friends and tell them to stop drinking and smoking tobacco which are both much worse. Also you might not want to sleep either because every time you sleep you're on drugs. DMT which is illegal causes you to dream each night. Something everyone uses is illegal. You're brain produces so much more than what one would use to trip.
The 9th amendment and various other un-numerated rights give us the right to decide what we put in are bodies, whether it be peanut butter or heroin.
Learn what your talking about, the constitution had to be amended many times just to make drugs illegal, because a prohibition on a drug is unconstitutional.
Thomas Jefferson would have liked to punch you right in the face.
I think your discussion with the state police officer was thoughtful, and even though the officer would never verbally recoginize that you had some valid points, i DO believe that you made him think. If your intent was to plant a seed, i think that you accomplished your goal.
that police officer handled that very well, you guys played with him a little bit, he played with you. What would be much better though is to ask those questions to those who make (and can kill) those laws.
@obscuredtruth i couldn't have said that better myself. You had me thrown offcourse for a minute with your questioning the officer, but in the end it all tied together. I believe your main point is, if these local officers are met by Federal officers, and told to disarm citizens and fire at will for civil disobedience/ and or disorder- we would all hope to hell they had it in them to stand up for what's moral and DISOBEY THEIR COMMANDS. Always question authority, but be humane and respectfull!!
People who take orders regardless, are the problem! If he was ordered to shoot all of you,He would! So my anwser is carry your weapons! Bullshit laws are for revenue only!
Cannabis needs to be legalised, not just for medicinal use but for everyone. The right to grow and produce your own plants without government intervention.
Of course this is highly unlikely to happen as tobacco and alcohol corporations would take a big financial hit. The government isn't interested in looking at proof that cannabis cures cancer, the drug company lobby makes sure of that, why cure when you can treat and keep earning?
@electricblue7 Then you should organize your own event and let everyone know that they should only come if they talk SPECIFICALLY about cannabis. Then see what kind of response you get.
I think the liberty activists here understand this is about personal freedom, making moral decisions, and the non aggression principle. .
awesome video.I completely agree with the guy that said dont take a plea bargain. everytime ive turned down a plea offer it reduced my penalties.think about the costs of the courts.if everybody fights these bad laws theyre going to run out of money trying to enforce them.we all have a right to trial by jury, jury trials cost the courts lots of money and if you can convince the jury that the law is bad they can use jury nullification to find you not guilty.
I've never done any drugs, and I don't plan on it, but these people have a right to do what they want as long as they're not hurting anybody else. Thanks for standing up for liberty.
@crazypants88 - Thanks for the compliments guys. The opening shot was near the gate about 300 ft back, locked down on a tripod. I ran about 5 minutes, cropped out the best cloud cover, and played it back at 200%. Next time I'll under-crank the camera, which will give a really nice effect.
The rig I use can bee seen from 1:40 to 1:47. That's me in the background.
i love this cop. he could be my pal lol

LEGALIZE METH

The State Officer just refuses to understand his personal role in the chain of enforcement.
Maybe each officer has a certain level of tolerance for marijuana and chooses to enforce accordingly.
Perhaps they aren't effected by guilt, by a higher sense of responsibility.
So much grey area still.

@electricblue7 That's your assumption, and it's incorrect. I'm planting seeds that will cause these men to think as the police state marches on.
If you look though history, it's incremental ratcheting up of police powers that fosters an environment for truly good people to do truly evil things.
