  • The University of Pennsylvania and it faculty and staff are a part of a PRIVATE institution. Public police officers are paid from taxpayers funds, at least I thought so. And the United States Postal Service is a governmental institution. How is the University of Pennsylvania allowed to harass employees through this .

  • So beautiful and exciting! Love it, love it, love it!

  • It looked like such an amazing day when you taped this! Also, the hibiscus in front is gorgeous. :) I love this vid in particular, because it reminds me that nature has everything, EVERYthing we need. I love this thought! Happy planting!

  • Tks for sharing this video, Angela and Matt. I guess M.A. is bringing great neighbors to the region.

It seems in the natural gardening dept. you're beginning. Don't take me wrong, we are all beginners in something, someday.

There's NO need whatsoever to use horse manure and all the pathogenic microorganisms associated with it.

You can make a very easy compost with 100% vegetation content. that will never expose your soil to dangerous tetanus bacteria! Keep the HS away from your soil!

  • Good stuff!

    Thx for sharing!

  • Is tetanus present in horse manure generally, or just in Vilcabamba?

  • Wonderful that you have been able to find such gracious people in Ecuador. Tell us more about the people of Ecuador and how you find them. You both look radiant and encourage me in my trip to becoming raw.

  • i want to be you on that beautiful peace of land

  • I would love to put some natural oils on Matt's hair. it seems a bit dry and the natural curl is beautiful. A bit of olive oil might let it relax a bit more and a shine too.

  • the sky is so pretty! LOL about the fig trees. wow!

  • Can you grow olives on your property?

  • You don't need horse poop it is not good manure anyway. You will never see Horse manure for sale. I have fig trees in Hawaii I started from cuttings and they had fruits in one year.

  • Awesome! You two are looking so vibrant! :)

  • Haha, when Matt sees something he likes he gets an over abundance! Persimmons, now fig trees!

  • A and M = you are planting so many fig trees that I am laughing so hard. I grew up on a Farm with one huge fig tree and we made so much fig preserves and jam for the entire year for a family of 7 and then we gave the rest of the figs to family/friends.you will have "figs coming our your ears" an old Texas saying.I hope you have LOTS of uses for them. The HUGE tree is about 40 years old at my parents home and my Mom is still using as much as they need and then they give them away to many people.

  • Jose has got a good sense of humor.

  • That's awesome!

But what are you going to do with that many fig trees?

And I would hot compost thoroughly that horse manure before putting into the garden.

  • WONDERFUL!!! <3 <3 <3 PEACE

  • lol, 100 fig trees! sounds like something crazy i'd do. remember to mix alittle of other plants into your fig forest so you don't get a mono culture pest problem going!

  • @Necrowitch Thanks for posting that! <3

Plants, like people, benefit from DiVeRsItY :-)

Matt may be aware of the decimation of the CalTRANS monoculture plantings of oleanders along the 215/91 freeway in SoCal ~ The glassywinged sharpshooter came through, deposited bacteria via the probiscus and bye-bye the miles & miles of freeway median oleander plantings!

Diversity is essential for survival - for ALL living beings!

  • ooo never heard of that! sounds nasty! they mono plant oleanders in median too here in texas o_o

  • I love seeing other countries and you all are making me want to move to a warmer area where I can plant year around! Awesome way of life:o)

  • they bought a house there and this is their first time being ton their new property since the house has been built. Its sooo amazing. They are here for 3 months... then after that, I am not sure. Cool huh?

  • tetnus in horse manure...interesting...great tree selection.

  • ash is appropriate only for some plants - might only want the ash in some areas, just a thought.

  • matt and angela were in my dream last night !!

  • ***** :)

  • Angela looks wonderful and is glowing lately.

Must be that tropical air and sunshine.

Matt don't complain later when you are eating way to many figs again. If you can figure how to you can package them for you your website.

  • ha ha, your guest speaker was amazing!!!! I love it! I love how he says poop: "pop"

  • Angela I saw those shoes and was like wow. Are they comfy? Kinda expensive!

  • I'm curious about the snakes and bugs there too.......and spiders! If you see any big bugs, instant video matierial!

  • you are talking about tetanus, in the horse poop

  • You guys are Living in Magic.

  • Wow, I love to live near you who has so much energy. Is there a smaller land in your neighborhood for sale? I am 60 years old, I just need a small land that I can manage, planting many species of trees that will bear fruits all year round.

  • Jose sounds like my Cuban grandfather lol.. I love latinos :))

  • Don't forget the Ocean Grown Mineral solution for your garden.

  • This may be off topic, but I'm curious if you've seen any snakes since you've been there? I'm from south louisiana and use to watching out for poisinous snakes, I hope you're careful where you stick your hands.

  • You're making a cool little paradise there. Matt you're starting to look like Dan, the liferegenerator w/ no shirt on. =) Gone horseback riding yet?
