By the way, I watched Vic Scaravilli's talks that you have posted, they are recommendable to all who would like further understanding or seeking a different perception on things. He is good. Wise choice. Ave Maria
Mary Ann, I am going back into the Discalced Carmelite monastery ... House of Studies in Mount Angel Oregon to be percise. If you would pray for me, I would appreciate it. Just a side note, judging by your website, my brother (Michael Townsend) lives in the same city you live in. Perhaps the same church? Ave Maria Gratia Plena
I would actually LOVE to be a sister but I'm disqualified for health reasons and, probably, because I'm to old! I wonder ... are there as strict rules of qualification placed upon women who want to be Third Order?
Mary Ann, I looked at the OCDS group possibility, and the three groups possibility in Oregon is Portland, Eugene, and Brookings. Sorry for the late delay to your response, but I wanted to speak to my OCDS director to confirm what i see on the internet. However, you can live a Carmelite life without living in a monastery or belonging to a group. First is prayer. Second is putting that prayer to action, which you are with your internet apostolate. Carmelite spirituality fastest way to holiness.
(3rd attempt because i don't see my posting) *** blush *** I didn't think you read all your comments, truthfully, I didn't even think of it. You make it sound like you are wearing "silly string" on top of your head. You look fine and your hair looks great! ---- Ave Maria Gratia Plena
*** blush *** I am embarrassed and caught. I am sorry. I didn't think you would read all comments ... to be truthful, I didn't even think about it. Well, my statement still stands. You make it sound like you are wearing "silly string" on top of your head. You look fine and your hair looks great! --- Ave Maria Gratia Plena
I Love St.Threse of Lisieux .......and I thank GOD for blessing us with such a wonderful saint............. I hope to learn more of her and i pray for her intercession in my life.............
I'm going to do a video on Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity and I'm going to explain Catholic Works Doctrine through Carmelite spirituality. Will also use a quote from Archbishop Luis Martinez, who explains the works doctrine BETTER than anyone I've yet read. Will film it sometime this week, hopefully. God Bless!
As a side note, a cats greatest gift to us is its ablility to teach us to be independant and needed at the same time. I don't know how they do it, but they are very good at it.
RULES: If anyone blasphemes the Virgin Mary, calls the RCC names, libels clergy, uses profanity or hints at it, or if you accuse the Church of anything NOT grounded in verifiable historical fact, I WILL BLOCK YOU. One offense is enough for a block. I'm no longer doing apologetics with ignorant, malicious people. Keep it clean or go! Thanks and God Bless --Mary Ann
I haven't gotten rude comments on this particular video YET, but man, I get prejudiced, ignorant and malicious comments EVERY DAY and no matter what one does, people like that prefer ignorance to searching for Truth. I will no longer tolerate it. Thanks, Steve!
In order to be a Catholic one must believe in Christ and all that He taught. To be a so called Christian, all one must do is profess belief in Christ and not in His teachings.
That is why these so called Christians are called protestants. They protest against something that the Church has taught through the centuries, and therefore we cannot expect them to know how to live their lives properly in this world.
In fact, to be a true Christian, one must become a Catholic.
I recommend the movie named, Therese by Luke Films, Xenon pictures. Directed by Leonardo DeFilippis, who played Therese's Father in the film. This was made recently. There is another film of the same name with a black DVD cover that is not as accurate. Don't get them mixed up.
