  • Yes, I love him sooooo much.

  • donald sutherland is soooooooooooooooooo amazing

my favourite of all his films is kellys heroes!

    GO SUTHERLAND!

  • omg, i'm german and I have to laugh about that joke too ... so am I more a brit or a canadian??? ;)

  • Happy Birthday, Donald !!!!

  • He is a commanding presence in every movie. He makes a shitty movie tolerable.

I would hope he has a star on the walk of fame already. Cheers Donald

  • he used to look like kieth lemon

  • I'm so glad he's going to play President Snow in 'The Hunger Games'.

  • Kiefer looks just like his father. Two very talented men. Although it is creepy how Kiefer and his twin sister Rachel look alike. I know they're twins but opposite sex and they looks so alike!

  • I love him..

  • "Incredibly arrogant person" -- God

    SPURN THE MUSE!!

  • He is so great. He has made everything from big big budget movies to really cheap European movies in the past, and they all are interesting cause he is always good. My favourites are Invasion of the Body Snatchers(1978), Don´t look now(1973),Eye of the needle(1981),Ordinary people(1980) and A dry white season(1989). Kiefer has an impossible task in front of him =)

  • And Kelly's Heroes! No more negative waves!

  • I love how laid back he is about Sex... For some reason guys his age usually get so annoyed when they mention that and can't stand answering a question about it, therefore has a face like a smacked arse for the rest of the interview!...

He is just so classy and isn't your stereo-typical guy from that era! Which i love!!!

  • he is a wonderful and talented actor he should had got an Academy award years ago.

I love him and his sons work. they are both fantastic actors.

  • I remember the movie "Don't look now" very well, and talk about a dose of the chills!

Donald Sutherland is an utterly fantastic actor, and a rather funky human being to say the least.

Way underated, and so much more deserving of recognition than most in Hollyrude!

  • 72, wow he looks great!

  • @ohhrichie He's 75 actually.

  • @S0vereignty 75 now, but he was 72 here in 2007.

  • Wow, I never knew how eccentric Donald Sutherland is in real life. I laughed pretty hard at the two sperm joke...and yes, I'm a Canadian lol.

  • I have imagined Donald Sutherland not just in the role of Albus Dumbledore but I honestly think this man I feel definitely could have been really exceptional in the original Batman films playing Commissioner James Gordon that would of been marvelous casting, Donald is such a fantastic talent really put's great preparation into his roles and I from a neutral standpoint could just have pictured Donald playing James Gordon this man deserves my respect for being such a really great actor oh its true

  • I would have loved Donald Sutherland to have got the role of Dumbledore how incredible would that have been I can just picture Donald wearing those beautiful long robes and having the long silky white beard it would of been great casting and from a personal stand point Tim Curry might been a fabulous Lord Voldemort.

  • i love him in diagnosis murder!!!

  • @skriller123 thats Dick van Dyke lol

  • 'I can't afford it......:)

It's true, I have morgages up to here

  • Hahahaha

The dwarf in the red rain slicker at 5:47.

    Ross is insane.

  • Why didn't he play Jack Bauer's father on 24? That would be perfect.

  • the evil point and the evil scream in invasion of the body snatchers

  • He is a great actor! I still remember him as Hawkeye in M*A*S*H. Brilliant.

  • I'm so glad he played Hawkeye. MontyPython246

  • @MontyPython246 Alan Alda was Hawkeye. Sutherland wasnt on MASH.

  • @vickersx2 Alan Alda was Hawkeye on the tv series, not in the Robert Altman film "MASH".

  • @vickersx2 as Monty already said, yes Donald Sutherland was in MASH but in the orignal fim not the follow on TV series. You should try and catch it if you have never seen it. Its a classic movie

  • he is awesome. he is in Kelly's Heroes!!!

  • @ClanTagKILR Kelly's heroes is probably one of his best films ever, my dad used to like it.

  • @MeBenHalpin

hah yeah my dad likes it too.

"What's with all the negative ways man?" :D

  • @ExtremeBogom He once showed it to me and was classic.

  • He's a nudist if you didn't know...I would love to have dinner with him just to laugh my ass off

  • Donald Sutherland prime example of great acting you can't get any higher than this.

  • I thought the sperm story was funny. Russian here.

  • I love Donald Sutherland. I'd gladly take him to bed. I have the feeling he's bisexual, polyamorous, and REALLY knows how to party! Plus, he's so outrageously funny. Tears of laughter..... HA HA..... "two sperm"... LOL

  • I love how Donald Sutherland speaks so wonderfully about being Canadian. We are so funny (in our own minds)...

  • @thebellrang Yes, we Canadians do have a unique and perverse sense of humour

  • we´re not even out of the what yet?? i am from germany so please can someone tell me??

  • Er sagt oesophagus, das gibt es auch zu deutsch das Wort. Ösophagus bedeutet in der mediziner Sprache Speiseröhre.

  • bedankt^^

  • esophagus-don't know if i spelled it right, but it's in your throat----meaning the person swallowed while giving a blow job. lmao

  • Good to see J. Ross back on YouTube, but I'd forgotten how bad his lisp is after hearing him mention the film, 'Deliverance'.

  • Donald Sutherland is a great man, actor, handsome with finesse.

liked him first movie I saw him in MASH.

talented versatile actor, great performances in comedies and dramas:)

i think among his great accomlishments r

he was co star of actresses who gave great, commanding, unforgettable performances, suh as Mary Tyler Moore in Ordinary people, Stockard Channing in six degrees of seperation and Julie Christie in don't look now:)

    he's a gentleman

    Keiffer got looks from dad:)

    love, ur fan Armand

  • This movie reminded me of Flatliners.

  • He does seem to be quite virile and worldly. And then there's the voice...

  • lol rubbers, AKA Condoms, in England

  • man Kiefer is so like him! love this guy - such a legend

  • July 17, 2009. Happy Birthday, Donald. You and I have the same birthday (47). So you have me beat by 27 years. May we both have many more.

  • Happy Birthday Mister Donald !

  • hehehe I laughed my ass off and I'm American...am I defective???

  • LOL i just love donald. "wait...shit.." lol.

  • How does the sperm joke go? Agh, I must be deaf or something as I cannot figure it out :(

  • whats that red child about?!

  • You must watch 'Don't Look Now', which is much more known in Europe than in North America.

  • Donald Sutherland is one hell of an actor, very smart and very talented. I always thought he'd be a good Commissioner James Gordon in the older Batman films.

  • i like the joke!! :D

kiefer is dam fit good work donald yours clearly swam well!!

  • Ok thank you Valvetrom, I understand the joke now, even if I don't understand all the words he says !!

Very funny... great man and permanently the greatest living actor !

  • Can you explain (write it) to me the sperm joke ?

I don't understand very well oral english

    thank a lot

  • Esophagus = the foodpipe to the stomach!!

  • the Sutherlands are a classy lot

  • @Krockyrat Definitely, they are...

  • Donald looks just like John Holmes in that small clip of a movie they show towards the beginning. Aside from that little observation, Donald is the fucking man.

  • i liked the sperm joke.. and i'm an american :p

  • fother and son...

    Son is quite best...:D

  • Both Sutherland dudes are Rock 'N' Roll!

  • rofl at the look on jonathan's face when donald says the c word

  • he is amazing!!..love him. x

  • amazing actor!

  • Classy, weird and smart fella...when will the Academy recognise this excellent actor's wondrous talent?

  • @sitedecinema Doubt smart. Arrogant, entitled, part of Canada's elite whose position got him in the business and the big parts. A limousine liberal who has several mansions and still drones on about government forcibly taking away people's money. Donald, live in a modest house in a non-glamorous town without servants in order to put your money where your mouth is.

  • Joyeux anniversaire Donald !

Longue vie à ce merveilleux acteur...

  • @sitedecinema : at his age and with his career, I sort of automatically assumed he at least got one or more Academy Award s(or at least a Liftetime Achievement recognition), but indeed: he never got the recognition he deserved. Proves once more that the truelly talented actors in Hollywood are always the most underrated ones.

  • @CF1975 You are probably right.

  • Thanks so much for posting - Mr Sutherland Sr. ROCKS :)

  • My fav actor. Thanks for the upload man

  • OMG what a joke

  • Thanks a lot for putting this up! I knew Donald from Ordinary People and have loved him ever since!

  • When I was a little kid Donald Sutherland scared the hell out of me when he played a really bad and cruel character in a film I can't remember now, and I guess it affected me because I avoided watching him in the future. This interview made me realize how silly I've been for years and I love the man now. I guess it takes a great actor to make a big impression on you, even if this means terrify you. I'm off to watch all the films I've been missing with Donald in; he really is a solid actor.

  • Great joke XD

  • thanks 4 the upload

  • lol we see where kiefer got his charm and humour! :-D

  • seriously! well said :)

not to mention his velvety voice...
