To all of you debating on SEED and Wing, you CANNOT COMPARE THEM! SEED follows the tradition from Gundam 0079 to CCA, while Wing is what 00 is loosely based on. 0079-CCA was about an ongoing rivalry between two ace pilots, who fought to protect the ones they cared about, just like SEED was (basically). Wing was about a group of highly skilled Mobile Suit Pilots fighting for the common goal of ending the war between the Space Colonies and Earth, just like 00 (except there are no space colonies).

Just another reason why Gundams suck.

The Macross VF series are far more verstile and faster. Some may argue that Gundams hold more fire power but what good is fire power if you cant hit your opponent ? Speed is everything in a mecha fight.

Hell, I would put the first ever VF, The VF-01 from the old Robotech / Macross against the most modern Gundams.

However, if I wanted a sure win , I would select the (Y)VF-19 from Macross Plus.

I already watched the 1st episode of Gundam 00 and it is way better than Seed Destiny. I really hope that it will be a series worth watching. The only thing that I did not like was the opening theme and the ending theme. Seed and Seed Destiny's opening themes were better.

Gundam Seed was a good series but not Seed Destiny because there is too much drawing errors, for example, when legend lines up his DRAGOONS in front, the DRAGOONS belong to providence, not legend's. Kira was also too powerful. Some even described Strike Freedom as the gundam that never got a scratch. Well that's bullshit.

SEED was more overly dramatic and teen angsty then the original gundam, plus it was essentially a remake, and that's why so many original fans hate it.

I overlook most of that however, and I think on the whole its a really good series.... Just wanted to say that.

I think SEED and SEED Destiny were the best of all the gundam series. Every other series makes it a big deal over people living in space as being special. Yeah right, like living in space will really make you that special. Though, SEED & SEED Destiny had a few problems, at least when it came down to it there was a real reason for all the chaos. I've gotten many people hooked on to SEED just because of the depth and reality of the story. SEED rocks.

I think Gundam Wing is the series that has the most intellectual value. I watched the whole series again this week after 7 years since I'd first seen it, and I was amazed at how deep it was. But for fighting, yeah, Gundam Wing has a big problem, LOL. The original is the best hands down.

This won't be good, at least for a Gundam series it won't. First, the same problem over and over again, Gundams are way too strong, enemies never stand a chance, which wasn't the case in UC. Second, too many Gundams, there should only be one or two. Third, this doesn't look like Gundam, it looks like Full Metal Panic!, which is okay looking, but looses all the charm of Gundam. Finally, I'm tired of main characters who are under 18 years of age, we want men, not kids.

Look at the original gundam, Amuro was a kid. It's kinda Gundam's themeto have kids. I think it would be boring with older men. Shiro Amada (08th MS Team) was 24 years old, Kou Uraki (0083) was 19, not old but he was a mature adult. Those 2 series are 2 of the best. I just miss my old skool gundam :(

Umm.. no? Yes, the main character is 16, but Lockon is 24 and Allelujah is 19. Tieria is unknown, but could be 18+ as well. Nearly all of the support cast and side-characters are also well over the age of 18. Additionally, there are only 4 gundams, that's not a whole lot in comparison to any recent Gundam shows. As for the FMP look: good finally something new, and it's because the mecha designer is from FMP.

Personally, I enjoyed Seed. Even though the only Gundam I saw before that was Wing, I really liked Seed. Story wasn't incredible and neither was Wing, but I watched it for the action and character development. I thought the series did it quite nicely. I highly liked the Gundam designs and the character styling too. I look forward to Gundam 00. I hope it gets better response and that they improve on the mecha designs too later on. I wanted a female lead to mix things up. It would be interesting.

wing was the first gundam I watched and I admit it had flaws, but it was enjoyable. Seed on the other hand had an annoying protagonist and some douche who thinks he's cooler than char with that girly mask. Hey it didn't even have bright. Bright was a cool character. I didn't enjoy watching seed at all and stopped midway. I think g saviour would have been favorable. But that's just my opinion. I'll leave it to other people to figure out why seed was a mistake.

I just hope that this series will be better than GSD.Setsuna is the main character because Seiji Mizushima wanted a character that doesn't fit a typical Japanese person. Then he went through the process of what this young person and he would do if he was placed in these circumstances. He believe this is an important step when developing a story. The heroine is said to be 24 years old.

There was just so many things wrong with the two Seeds that it wasn't even funny. That Gundam series just felt like a total rush job. Gundam00 seem to be more like a series that I can take seriously.
