in Strees Video test, the fps seems very high, but you can try out the Multiplayer games, i pretty sure that you will get very low fps!

I tried out CSS on my Netbook Sony Vaio VGN-TZ47CN/B

Core 2 Duo 1.3

2 GB RAM

Intel GMA 950 256mb.

Stress Test had very high fps (20-30), but in game, i couldn't play with 5fps!

@parkour720 To be honoust, this version was illegal (I had to lose some weigth, textures for example), but its very easy to use Steam for installing it on a laptop without DVD drive.

Almost all settings are inside that .cfg file you can download from the side in the video details. Most important is a low resolution, large heapsize and the lowest dx lvl possible.

Look at the bottom left of the screen. FRAPS shows the FPS in yellow numbers.

Don't use fraps to find fps. Type either "net_graph 1" to 3 or "cl_showfps"

Nice video but my opinion is that you cant actually play css cause when you play online most servers got direct x 7 restricted (because of cheats) , also when you play on a server the models will lower the fps.I got a core2duo @ 3Ghz and i get about 600 fps at css stress test but when i play online on public servers with many players, i get average fps 150 .

Ik heb laatst Half Life uitgespeeld op mn EEE en dat was geen probleem. CS 1.6 is ongeveer even zwaar.

The EEE's run HL2 reasonable aswel with a few tweaks. They are mostly the same tricks and tweaks as I used for this movie. I recommend you to use the autoexec.cfg in my commentary.

i did everything else that post said but for hl2 and its not really imporved. i get about 8-13 frames when looking around normally but if i look at the floor beneath my feet i get 40-50. any ideas?

yeah ive lowered the resolution. I found somewhere else if advise to lower my screen to 18 bit instead of 32 bit but that didnt really help and looked really crap. i put it on lowest resolution possible aswell and still like no change.

What is autoexec.cfg?

Its a configuration file containing many variables concerning the grafics and sound. You can significantly change the video quality tru that file. There are many pre-set .cfg's file on the net, like in my commentary. Check the link and the website behind it will provide you with the needed information.

DX 7.0 is the lowest possible i think. The video screens are turned off because i used the tweaked autoexec.cfg.

BTW, i kinda like crysis, and its still a good benchmark tool: simply because its so heavy!

You're wack, Armo, why are you braggin or showing off your performance of a game that can virtually run on the CPU alone? And your CPU is slow as all hell these days. 16xQAA/"QcAA" is not even actual AntiAliasing but only a tweaked such, you're supposed to be going for native AA or FSAA.

Exactly. Intergrated graphics today handles the Source engine godlike. I have plans of getting a Eee 900 myself. We'll see if I might be able to kick some games up as well with it. Ever thought about trying Command & Conquer: Generals out on the 900? If you'd have some time over and test that sometime I'd be grateful, since it's one of those low-resource yet extremely solid games I'm looking to try out.

Basicly I used evey tweak to my disposal. The special autoexec.cfg contained most tweaks, and next to that I used the commandline/short cut tweaks that are also explained on the site in the commentary
