  • there was magic enough to fool the umpire...first inswing and then the balll swung away late..wasim akram is a wizard..

  • This is why Wasim Akram is the greatest bowler.

  • absolutely no edge there....and even in real time umpire couldnt have given him out because of the edge ....its just shear brilliance!

  • im glad they put the dlr sytem in so these fuckin umpires cant cheat anymore

  • At least he didn't give a wide !

  • I don't think I have ever seen someone be LBW to quite this extent in my entire life.

  • Going under the stumps i reckon

  • is umpire ki ma ka phuida gashti ka bacha undha hy

  • From the Umpire's point of view, the ball would have missed the off-stump. May be he is right.

  • wasn't a howler call...enough doubt for an umpire; I think the ball was just starting to straighten not nearly enough for to expect an umpire to make that call; hit him high on the pad on the full so that could have been cause to assume it would have hit the stumps but the angle of the ball was sufficient doubt... Line ball call...

  • If you look at teh super slo mo , does he actually get an outside edge ?

  • A magician's arm indeed!

  • To be fair, when you see that in real life with your naked eyes alone, it looks like it would have missed leg stump. Around the wicket, wide arm action etc.

  • wow!! wasim was a magician!

  • I Think For Sometime He Forgot There Is "LBW" Also In Cricket!

  • akram should be fined for showing dissent towards the umpire.

  • Bat and pad watch closely at 0.47!

  • My all time favourite left arm bowler :)

Umpire would have fainted after seeing the replay during a break :D

  • ghalib film dekhi hai aap ny? :D

  • He's Blind..!!

  • drs! drs!

  • No umpire could have given that out with the naked eye. In some ways, the fact that this delivery did not take a wicket makes it more magical in the memory.

  • That's physically impossible !!! How did he do that?? The ball swung both ways in the same delivery !!! Pure magic..

  • @yennavai646 "ball swung both ways"

.... Shut up you dirty mind!!!!..

  • @drhibbert420 : Piss off you cunt.. I'm not interested in your opinion..What are you replying to me for? At least try to make sense when you make a comment..What's dirty in that you numbskull?

  • @yennavai646 u mad? :)

  • @drhibbert420 : Crawl back into whatever dirty hole it is that you came from you anal discharge

  • And to think we used to complain about Pakistani umpires. Jeez....

  • BBC guy talks quite g*y

  • brilliance

  • umpire was rubbing his finger on his ass thats why he couldn't give out

  • /watch?v=rI2v31F1DS8

  • now all excuses are lame !

  • Poor old Wasim! Too good for the batsman and too good for the umpire!

  • I am not sure which stump the umpire thought it was missing: leg or off? Perhaps it was the height...

  • I am not sure which stump the umpire thought it was missing: leg or off? Perhaps it was the height...

  • I can only assume the umpire thought the ball was going to miss the stumps by going under them...

  • 1. i think its not possible to judge if it nicked the bat or not

    2. the frames per second are not enough to see the true trajectory of the ball as it passes the bat

    3. edges can't always be SEEN, but they are HEARD usually

    4. having watched almost every match of wasim akram, i can say the expressions on his face confirm more than anything else, that there was no edge, as he would have surely heard it

  • 4b. if there was an edge, and he heard it, and he was bluffing the umpire, im sure his expressions would be different, instead of such..dissatisfaction / frustration

    5. i think a sound analysis would shed some light on the edging

    6. the slow motion is very misleading, i think because of the missed frames, it shows an unnatural trajectory of the ball

  • Wasim should be playing baseball throwing deliveries like that. hahaha.

  • its an edge u can't see?

  • @vasu007ish there is no edge u dumbo..are u blind or what??

  • @jankabir hello god has given me eyes.... it seems god had forgot to give u!!!

  • I'm an Indian, but i like Wasim :-)

  • no need to Say Wasim is Wasim just say

    WASIM

  • @PakiEagle1 Haha, I know what you mean

  • "nothing short of brilliance"....hmm....sounds abt right! :)

    ohlukatdemswingin!!

  • king

  • Waseem must have missed 50-60 wickets becasue of biased decision from umpires..

  • @asim622 :D yeah and 200 because of No Ball :P

but Wasim and Waqar are WWII for cricket

  • Croft disliked this video!

  • He probably wanted to kick the umpire in the nuts.. and then shout Howzat!!!

  • @drhibbert420 lol

  • Where is Ball moving in the air?? Just like F16 revolving including left right direction.

  • Fucking incredible! Just see the way the ball kept on swerving till it met Croft's pads bang-on! Awful decision. Easily falls within the top 5 worst decisions I have ever seen.

  • what a ball!

  • That was a late reverse swing and it is on middle stump.

  • then he bowled him i luved it

  • Just watch at 0:46. I think there was a bit of bat in there. However, one in a million delivery.

  • Just watch at 0:46. I think there was a bit of bat in there.

  • my 3yr old cousin knows thts out ..

  • the only nick here is the one in the detractor's heads!

  • if this ball hit the bat then Croft would be bowled ...

  • Did that thing swing there???!!

  • @pradzee123

    yeah it swung in reverse

  • King of swing

  • he is out umpire fucking corrupt

  • This is almost physically impossible. This is voodoo or something. Not a normal cricket ball can do this. its even against the laws of angles and geomatry. if it was pitched half way and straightened, i could beleive it but in the air,,,,,,. phew.

  • dumbasses , if the ball hit the bat it would reflect, it reflected after hitting the pad duuuhhh.

  • i saw that in real time...what a useless umpire

  • That was a clean LBW... deadly delivery could have troubled any top order batsmen

  • He is bowling god !!!!

    Hats off!!

  • this ump missed LBW class at umpire school

  • @andymate999 he sure did !

  • aaah david shepherd, one of the worst rival of pakistan cricket, unfortunately pakistan has to compete with umpires as well as with the rival team when they are abroad,,, i can bet wasim akram would have atleast 2000 wickets in the both forms of cricket if Umpiring and well pakistan's fielding would have been just standard

  • fuck all the technical blabber...this guy is a legend. his every ball is legendary...

    respect from Pune

  • Legend! India Salutes you

  • how can thhis be NOT given out??

  • Fuck kitchens

  • Shows umpiring has improved over the years..

Wasim would have got at least 100 more wickets if he was playing now.

  • ther is no edge.

  • good umpiring.. definitely a slight edge..

  • @nameskhan1 you are a blind person.. go get your eyes checked

  • @zeepurplefire I saw the ball hitting bat.. but you didnt see that.. so who is blind??? ... go check ur eyes.. moron..

  • @nameskhan1 if u see the ball hitting bat then u can also see (someone hit by a moon), which means "lunatic". that is what you are

  • @zeepurplefire u got fucked by akram.. really.. or is he ur dad???

  • The ball was straighting already before it passed the bat. So even it edged it did not have a noticeable deviation. The ball was already going with an angle. And Wasim has done this on numerous occassions. However if you don't like him then its a different ball game.

  • There was definitely an edge.

  • WHAT WAS THAT? outswing in the air..... fucking kidin O.o

THANK GOODNESS FOR THE REST OF THE NATIONS,WASIM AND WAQAR ARE RETIRED =="

  • incredible! insane bowling.

  • bad umpiring

  • even if we accept that there was the faintest of the edge (i do not think there is) the ball reverse swang a long long way! simply brilliant

  • Am an Indian fan of Wasim...He was the best bowler of the modern era from the 90's...

  • Definitely edged.

  • There wasn't any edge at all. Also the ball was moving from leg to off already before it passed the bat. That is nothing but a high class reverse swing...

  • I saw the edge after a few look, there is definatly an edge.

  • only Croft could confirm it if it was an edge or not... but if not, then how the hell ball dodged the bat like it has a mind of it's own..lol

  • Incredible ball. Miss you Wasimbhai!

  • wow!

  • usernameemanresu 1 year ago

Look carefully at the replay after 44 seconds.

You may not see the edge at first but unless you've got really bad eyesight, you will eventually see it after a few replays.

Chaz,Paddy and myself are not making this up. Why would we all conspire to lie? LOL

I admit you can't see the edge in the first replay but keep watching the replay at 0:44 and you will eventually see a clear edge.

  • @usernameemanresu I came across this video many times before but at that 0:44 seconds it really does seems that the ball was edged.

  • I'm re-posting some earlier comments for those of you who don't read every comment on here:

    PaddyClash

1 year ago i saw an edge there at 0:46 and 0:47

    usernameemanresu

1 year ago Well spotted Paddy. I didn't see it at first but you're right,Crofty nicked it onto his pad, therefore it's Not Out.

    CricketMadChaz007

1 year ago there is an edge on it look carefully at 0:48

  • @usernameemanresu Definatly and edge, the ball deviates.

  • PAKISTANI BOWLERS INDIAN BATSMEN I SHOULD THINK WE SHOULD UNITE

  • be very honest..i am an indian but I agree that wasim akram is the greatest bowler of the world....so sorry for his wife...god bless her...take care wasimbhai

  • @sun5982 sushmita will take care of him lol :P just kiddin

  • King of all bowlers. No where anyone can kiss even his feet

  • finallllly a pakistani vid in which there is indo-pak comment war

  • Jaaadu!!

We in India, miss seeing him in action.

  • wasim akram the greatest left arm bowler to ever embrace the game.......when it comes to natural talent there is no one comparable to Wasim akram, he was a master of all. I felt privileged to have watched this great man in action.

  • god...swing bowling...akram....

  • great bowler

  • Wasim akram rulz

    Brett lee only for BOOES

  • wowww

  • These were the times when Pakistan dominated cricket. Its such a shame that they are a shambles now. THe management team need shooting.

  • wow . ....unbelievable

  • result u get with a bottle top

  • wasim bhai the sultan

  • What the hell was that ????? I completely understood it when there was a close replay

  • gud one he iz best

  • OMG some ofyou kids here still don't understand this ball it is magic superb king wasim

  • A true left arm off spinner sometimes leg spinner as well..

  • @abhijeetshastri You do know that Wasim was faster in his twilight years than any Indian bowler has ever been at their peak? Then again, you can't expect a country who's greatest medium pacer was that trundler Kapil Dev to appreciate fast bowling.

  • itchen was racist, the old shit will burn in hell, fucking pig mongrel.

  • @bagshitass chill man thats what you call patriotism or what you said racist

  • god knows how many wickets he has missed like that

  • what a bowler!

  • The greatest swing bowler ever to have graced the game. True Legend. A real gentleman and a good ambassador for the sport.

  • THis and the Dravid LBW I am actually thankful the umpire didn't give them. Bcos the balls that followed were even better! Wasim bhai ruullzzz

  • Is it me or the ball actually went in first and then reverse swing to the off side at the last moment ??

The umpire must be blind !!

I remember he bowled him out shortly though!!

  • You cant bowl better....! He was the true GREAT!!!!

  • you can the from the ball that is going straight on, then deviate left(with a sudden jerk motion), then go straight on again carrying on with it's forward momentum. Swing/Reverse swing doesn't do that. That is all.

  • all you guys saying to people that saw an edge are blind, it is you who are blind by definition that you didn't see an anything. How is it not an edge where the ball has already done it's beautiful curved reverse swinging type ball path to bring the ball straight on for a good 6 seconds of slow motion, and then all of a sudden seem to suddenly deviate so fast to the left after the bat, keeping in mind that this is slow motion. The numbers don't add up.

  • that didn't nick the bat, if you think it looks like it you are just getting confused by the sharp swing, just draw a mental graft of where the bat was at the moment the ball passed and not look at the deflection and you will see it was a long way away from the ball.

  • umpires usually have nightmares in pakistan matches

  • the ball did not hit the bat... the ball was actually reverse swinging... thats what the commentator says too

  • t think umpire was sleeping

  • sorry...nick of bat

  • great ball i think out

  • It really isn't that hard to see. Keep watching over and over again from 0:44 and you must see the nick.

If you say you don't see it,you're either a liar or completely blind

It isn't a matter of opinion,it is a fact that Croft got a slight edge and that the Umpire was right to say "not out".

BTW Don't try to comment on Owaisehan's version of this incident. He doesn't allow people to point out what really happened and likes to suppress the truth by banning people like me from commenting.

  • Listen to the fella talking. He gets it to swing the other way too. What you think is an edge is simply the ball moving the other way. It's about as plum as a batsman can get.

  • @usernameemanresu

thanks - you've cleared this up for me - it's quite clear!

  • there is no adge...

  • Nop its not the edge.I see it several times bt no edge Mr funk 192.

  • Well , fair enough. What I see from the point they pause @ 0::44

    1. A ball going straight on

    2. Keep in mind the video is played at a constant rate

    3. I see a sudden jump of the ball to the left as it passed the bat.

    4. You clearly hear a snick at the same time it passed the bat

    5. You see the ball jump to the left again as it hits the leg

    6. Line up from the point of the pause and when it hits his leg, I see a ball going straight on deviating suddenly twice, & not a smooth curved type of ball.

  • Also once you do that,or not lol ;)

Begin playing from 0:36, notice the balls nicely curved path into the batsman.

One other thing to add is that I idolise Wasim, the way he is able to swing the ball both ways, reverse it & generate all that pace from such a short run up. Why do you think I study these videos in such great detail. Nough said. Hope no one makes a smart ass comment , and can communicate like s human being.

  • not only umpire but all u blind lame asses who says its an edge...go F"#k urself. thanks.

  • wasim akram is king of ball and kin of cirket

  • @waqas3489 i m from india, but wasim akram is the most gentle and finest bowler i ve ever seen, its so sad that he doesnt play anymore, but seen some of the most magnificent matches by him on tv, truly talent has no boundaries

  • yes there was an edge but freakin hell mate how did you pick that up

  • idiot umpire

  • i think there was an edge..but tht apart only Wasim cud have produced such a delievery .pure brilliance !!

  • no motherfucker can ball this delivery no one its just him the great one......the great one....the ball of the century

  • THE REAL BALL OF THE CENTURY

  • I think you'll find the ball was a tad quicker than "80 miles an hour" ... lol

  • In reply to dalabraj and aleezz.

I admit you can't see the edge in the first replay but keep watching the replay at 0:44 and you will eventually see a clear edge.

It was a great ball and Wasim was a great bowler but the fact is,Croft got a nick on it,so the Umpire was correct not to give him out LBW.

Chaz,Paddy and myself are not making this up. If you look, you will see!

  • initially it looked like an edge...but looking at the replays again its clear it was not...look more closely at the first replay

  • there is an edge on it look carefully at 0:48

  • what rubbish, no edge.

  • Look carefully at the replay after 44 seconds.

You may not see the edge at first but unless you've got really bad eyesight, you will eventually see it after a few replays.

As I said,Chaz,Paddy and myself are not making this up. Why would we all conspire to lie? LOL

  • @CricketMadChaz007 thats what the umpire thought too

  • Well spotted Paddy. I didn't see it at first but you're right,Crofty nicked it onto his pad, therefore it's Not Out.

If anyone is wondering who's doing the voiceover - It's Jack Bannister.

  • o yh you guys are the only onez spotted it and all those critics and ones in the recording room with way betta quality thn this video are just blind ???

just admit it its was simply too good for any batsman!!!

  • i saw an edge there at 0:46 and 0:47

  • the batsman was deceived the umpire was deceived the wicket keep was deceived.........but in the end camera showed the greatness of wasim to all

  • Does it matter -

Lewis got a good one too - he looked coked - sorry choked to be out .
