  • how the hell did you make the walls?

  • @bleushift They are built using Hirst Arts molds. The molds produce blocks that can be assembled in a variety of ways.

  • @Terranscapes amazing dude looks like a great hobby for me im about to get a kit off their site i was hoping you could give me some advice. this looks like their flagstone kit but is there another one thrown in there? and wait did you use for the raised base some sort of foam?

  • @stevethegreatis To build this structure, you need two molds. The fieldstone wall mold and the ruined fieldstone mold. The base is made with pink foam and Bruce has a few different tutorials on the site for ways to make foam bases for buildings. Very helpful for beginners and experienced a like. He has step by step directions for building this in his projects page. Have fun!

  • Very nice work here! I am casting alot of dungeon themed stuff right now but I am advancing more towards outdoor terrain at a fast pace. 10/10 for sure on this video for sure. Keep em coming!!!

  • @Prodigy8521 This piece is terrible for shipping though. I am just now finishing up a second and I will discuss this aspect in its video shortly. Good luck on the casting. I would love to see what your working on. If you need any casting tips, just ask.

  • Thank you for your interest. Right now the store is closed so I can catch up on orders, but you can find this item on the structures page of Terranscapes(dot)com. Store should be reopening in 6-10 weeks.

  • Hi what dosethis go for its very.nice i might like to get one with no water in center Thank you

  • Awesome piece pal. I'll be honest though, when you said you spent ten hours on the piece I was expecting much longer.. I hope I heard you right and don't sound like a prat :S like I said what an amazing piece.

  • @TaintedChimp Well, I probably did spend more time on it. :) I chronically underestimate my time on projects. It can be hard to track accurately when I have several under way at the same time.

  • awsome!! i love the projects that arent soo practical but more artistic!! ime doing this myself! art is better that praticallity ! :P xD

  • @METROIDER123 Thanks. I do try to preserve playability in a piece, but try to push the art as far forward as possible. :)

  • Cool nice piece :)

  • man this is amazing!!!

  • masterpiece

  • Love your works. I would love to see a video from your workshop :D

    You know for inspiration :D

  • @TinyArts Well, I kind of keep the shop a secret as I think if I revealed it, it would be a bit disappointing. :p I think the only thing inspiring about it is how much I have/get done in such a small space.

    Thank you for the compliments.

  • @Terranscapes I completly understand that. I'm abit of a tool freak and for me half of the fun is to spend time in a cozy workshop with lots of interesting gadgets. I was just asking out of curiosity :D I Can spend hours watching pictures of others workshops on different forums. Anyways, you are one of the best terrain makers out there according to me. Take care :D

  • Just absolutely amazing. The fact that something like this is even available for purchase just blows me away. All of your stuff is so impressive. Really I have to decide on this or the gladiator arena, which I still haven't figured out a fool proof plan of laying down some sort of hexagon grid for use with a particular miniatures game without just ruining it. A true dilemma! lol

  • @tinkeringtot Thanks. Putting a hex grid on the arena would be much easier than on the fieldstone piece. You could print out a hex grid, punch tiny holes in all the intersections, and then dab a tiny spot of black paint on the points. Then its just moving between the dots. I think that would work without taking away from the overall look. Just a thought. I'm sure there are other options out there. I have been looking for a good stencil for just such a purpose. If you find one, post me.

  • That's amazing! I love the moss and the different flock you used! I really wish I had the space to build something like that. Hirst Arts makes some great molds.

  • @papaskittels There aren't that many and touchups would completely conceal their removal. It is a ruin after all. ;)

  • @Catachan1brainleaf I agree with you. I just couldn't help myself to do a bigger project. I probably will not be doing another big Hirst Arts for a while after the Greek Temple and this project.

  • Great work! F.E. stagnant water turns into wetland if you leave it long enough, I think some more of that moss and lichen growing out of the pool would really look amazing.

  • @korona3103 Oh, good call. Will do next time. :)

  • that's a very nice piece of terrain. well, all of your pieces are. i may use your services at some time

  • amazing...

  • absolutely gorgeous.

  • Excellent as always. Nothing to add really.

  • You are such a pro, I'm definitely going to buy some of your stuff once I have some spare change.

  • I love your work and would love to know what company you use for your basing material. I am hard at work on a graveyard and don't want to use GW flock. Also how did you do that moss? This building is epic and a true work of art! Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

  • @MadMartykmf101 I use a lot of Woodland Scenics products. Much more cost effective and wider choices than GW. Good luck on your project.

  • Respond to this video... I use a lot of Woodland Scenics products. More selection and lower cost than GW. Good luck on your project.

  • HOW MUCH.

  • Respond to this video... Right now I have it listed for $225. As it took well over 10 hours of labor, that's the lowest I can afford to charge for it. I do have the kit listed with it as well for $56 (28 casts) if you want to take on the project and use my design as a model. The kits is the blocks only so finishing flocks and the like are not included.

  • @TheTerrainGuy see below. Hit wrong button for tagging response to your inquiry.

  • Absolutely beautiful build, and lovingly executed. The base really sets off the castle, not too much but still enough accuracy to make it totally believable.

  • I think the ground flocking on this piece is quite effective, it's a bit more patchy and realistic looking. Great work

  • I think this is one of my favorites, it looks so great, it's like medieval but also gothic it's a really cool piece.

  • Love the hanging greenery. Adds a real sense of realism to the piece.

  • I see, for this piece, a display boards for a skirmish army !(Warmachine and malifux are the first ones I think about)

  • This is a great piece, but the skulls are a bit bad, you know the ones on top of the pillars. If they weren't there then I would be buying this...

  • @buttonfactoryjim i think you can just message him that you want something else

  • @buttonfactoryjim Normally I would agree as they are a bit stylized and I have left them out of other projects. In this case, I thought they worked well. Of course, they could be removed or omitted easily.

  • Man, I really do like this.

  • Gorgeous. I so want you to do my GW realm of battle board. But your back log was pretty steep last time i checked.

  • @sludgedisciple I understand. I have a couple of smaller projects coming up so a slot might open in the near future. Keep an eye on the cue in the next couple of months. :)
