@juniordirector26 i think they meant from the sinks. witch is still stupid. you can find a free rv dump site the fairgrounds in many areas so you can empty the gray/black and refill your water-tank. rv dumps are everywhere but free ones are a bit hard to find however normally the fees are low around 5-10$.
The best of luck you guys i currently live in a 74 e-300e econoline along with it is a Toyota 1/2 ton. I have 2 beautiful Dobermans that I live for. Cant afford a rental home so me & said doggies love and live each day
@Godzie1 If you have a family this would SUCK! but if you are single and have no responsibility other than yourself, this is the best way, and true freedom from those that want money from you in order to live, and support your life, you answer to no one.
@Blackwater200 Ohhh Blackwater...I'm sorry to say you are so wrong about me.
I do have a family. I have a 16 year old daughter whose life revolves on video games & I have a 82 year old mother who suffers from dementia due to a brain tumer surgery in 2000 that lives w/me. My husband who abandoned us is long gone & know all too well on the financial costs & losses. Never judge!
@Godzie1 only around 10% of the usa is rich they got that way buy walking over the poor and middle class by exploiting there hard work. but then they started doing the same to other country being they are cheaper labor. so that caused the people living check to check to lose there jobs and unable to pay for there overpriced land. i don't blame all government its on people to for having large family they cant really support because people think you need to have as many kids as passable.
i think it would be very freeing to live in a car since you save on rent and can live in any city you want.. i'm a minimalist and have gypsy blood so this lifestyle really appeals to me
@RedFlower26 I think it would be good fro grocerie bills, I mean you can grab some carrots, onions...etc etc and have a nice healthy cheap sandwich
the worst would be meat and protein---buying lunch meats is neither cost efficient or healthy...but then again you can just cook chicken breats and such on a barbeque
Living in a travel trailer or RV or even a van made into a home is NOT homeless. Homeless means "without a home". These people have homes so they are not homeless. I get tired of people calling these people homeless. Homeless is like living in the brush or woods. The only reason it may be illegal to live like this is because they can't control you as well and society is conditioned to think badly of anyone without a big ass stick built home.
While you're technically right you're not thinking about the legal implications of not having a fixed address. When you apply for a job, and you can't put down a fixed address, that immediately slaps you with the stigma of being homeless, threatening your prospects for a job. Among sooooo many other services, public and private that you won't get access to for the same reason.
they get there water from toilets?!

I agree! Also, it will teach one not to waste food, which often happens when you forget what all you have in the fridge!

Owning a home is overstated. I'd rather be a Vagabond.

smaller towns have lower rent for the same size rooms. but the gas bill and car maintentance will make it the same price

Well , I think it's kind of a grey area , but I would be ok with it. I love camping. when I go camping I just sleep in the van anyway.
