i got this hame but it does not work :( i dont know why,i have a shitty computer but it shows that i have the minimum system requirements.

when i enter the game it shows like lots of weird stripes and i cant see shit....i got a new DVD from the store in case if its screwed up but it does the same :(

@careva1000 your graphics card is overheating i think. its what happened on my old nvidia card, and its the reason why nvidias suck... they overheat easily

@ImTheSeekr now i got a laptop with intel core i3,6 GB RAM and Nvidia Geeforce gt 540m but still it does not works....when the install is ready and i start the game it shows that i need to reboot the couputer again and again,i dont know why

@careva1000 well the wierd colors are a symptom of nvidia cards... i had that problem with my nvidia card on Aces High 2... and if its an HP laptop they overheat easy... its saying you need to reboot, the game? or the OS?

Anyways now i dont use the computer anymore

SH5 has shitty reviews... it was funny because i got hit 8 times by japanese shells on my left side, my stern torpedo tubes were flooded and i had no torpedoes left and yet i was still afloat. I hope they launch a 6th one that's better than 5

I cant get this to work on my netbook. It says "cannot initiliase 3D engine" my resolution is 1024x600 and I think it has to be 1024x800?? How can I play it??

1025x768 is what SH3 expects. You can change registry values for 'Display1_DownScalingSupported­' and change from 0 to 1. Plenty of walkthroughs via google.

@AlexTheMango I dont remember (thats probably none to helpful lol) but its enough to get you an early upgrade you might want but that said it wont hurt you at all if you dont since I do remember you will make a good 10 times of the training bonus when you come across your first convoy (assuming early)

@MClown69 It will probably work. It just might lag a little bit. My PC does have a 512 MB stick of RAM in it, but the integrated graphics take up 128 MB of it. A computer can't just decide not to at least try to run a game just because one of its specs don't match the minimum. Heh, I just realized that this comment was uploaded a while ago. So, now I'll ask, does the game run fine on your "lame comp"? 'Caus my PC is kinda sad too.

Its 9.99 on steam and i really want it.

@codmod55 5 silent hunter 5 looks better and you get to move around your sub, but silent hunter 3 has much more to offer when it comes to game play i have had all silent hunter games

I always used the VII/C 42 ship until career end xD I used to dive into the enemy habors and destroy the tankers and these ships there. But it was a pain to get out of there after the action xD

Is there a mod for the FuMO-391 radar? It's supposed to be mounted on the snorkle mast and usable at periscope depth with the mast raised but, the game isn't allowing for that.

No, if it were British, it would be white, union jack in top left, and st. george's cross. They were either Canadian, or Newfoundlanders, (Newfoundland joined Canada in 1941 so depends on what year you were in in game).

Chances are it was Canadian, it's got the Red Ensign.
