  • Probly my favorite Queensryche song of all time just amazing im speechless

  • Absolute

  • muito bomm rs

  • The words put out on this song look into so many relationships, the want, the hurt, the need, the love involved.Do what you need for the love you need and still walk on eggshells if you wish.I had to go elsewhere, best of luck to everyone who choses the other path, the oath of pain and control you don't deserve it run far

  • love this song, very talented band!!!!

  • Something is wrong with this world when Queensryche videos recieve less than 500k views and Bieber and Gaga get millions! Blah!

  • Awesome, just hate the keyboards!!!!

  • I love this song!!! It's so smart....

  • They never really got quite the notoriety they deserved.

Operation Mindcrime is definitely one of the best metal albums ever released.

Such great musicians.. I don't know what happened but they really peaked with OM and Empire. The next two were "ok" (Hear in the New Frontier and Promised Land) but IMO after that they just did a Metallica-worthy nosedive. Is that when Chris left?

There was ONE song on Tribes that I liked though.

  • @thtuskey Yeah, Chris left after Frontier. They really did peak at Empire. I consider Operation Mindcrime their best, though.

I think QR got hit by a identity crisis after Empire. They just kept dumbing down the music until it was nothing but simple crap. The only exception in like 15 years of writing was THe Right Side of My Mind. Amazing song in a pile of crap records.

Then they tried to cash in on Mindcrime with Mindcrime 2. Blah.

  • @RaveEpic I think "Empire" WAS the id crisis. It was too radical a departure from everything they'd done. Upon it's release, QR said they wanted to get away from concept albums, & do an album where each song stood on its own. The result, however, was an album that went in too many directions. If only QR would've taken the musicianship from OMC, and applied it to a deeper exploration of the direction begun on "Rage...." (which I count as their most stylistic contribution to metal.)

  • @TheLeroyMoon Rage for Order is amazing. And I agree with the Empire id crisis and change my point to that. Empire was really different from Mindcrime and Rage.

in the end, atleast we have the debut, Warning, Rage and Mindcrime. 3 and a half great albums.

  • I hadn't listened to this record in years and I'm just amazed at the quality and brilliance of the songwriting... not to mention this live performance is nearly flawless... these guys have always been so skilled and gifted musically but they were never flashy at all, just plain solid and strong. Absolutely classic.

  • Awesome band. Wish Chris DeGarmo was still with them.

  • I'd say the best concert i ever attended.

  • Queensryche is one of da best, I live now in Finland and this fucking idiots Dont have any idea about Pacific North West music...I'm from Newport Or. live in Portland many years...gosh I miss my people !!!

  • SEATTLE BANDS MAKE THE BEST MUSIC!

    kingsman,hendrix, heart, tremor,motherlovebone,aliceinchains,

    soundgarden ,nirvana,gruntruck,pearljam,

    melvins,malfunktion hell even sirmixalot

and of course the mighty ryche! the list goes on.....

  • They rock, but I wouldn't really call them metal. Maybe prog-metal?

  • @boardskins I agree they are very progressive.. But the build up is so good on some songs that its worth waiting for the for the really good parts. I`m hooked on The Thin Line and Jet City Woman. 2 very addictive songs in my opinion!

  • Geoff Tate is one of the most amazing singers ever to grace a stage. He is my idol and have met the man many times and he was the coolest musician I have ever met.Queensryche are always great in concert you can never go wrong going to see them live.

  • Awesome song, great memories, "Empire" is Queensryche's best album to my ears, the harmony between the '5' instruments here unseen on any other metal album!! thanks for sharing

  • @ahage4x4 best album, hands down. and the Thin Line is so rich in details..

  • Awesome DVD. I got it new for $5-6.

I still miss DeGarmo. ...Come back, man!

  • They performed this last night in Lockport NY. Freakin awesome live!

  • not only a great singer but he performs great

  • In the Rock-Metal world , this band was too underrated for what they did all this years.

They have one of the best vocals ever, great lyrics, great sound and one of the best albums ever with Operation Mindcrime.

They sould be ranked in a higher spot.

  • a bunch of little hotties..

  • This is the sound of a band at its peak hitting on all cylinders. Damn, I miss DeGarmo.

  • Comment removed

  • you know, the bassist in the empire era was the GREATEST bassist i heard of. I konw he used a spector Euro 5, but can someone tell me the amp / rig he used?

BTW the Thin Line on the Emprie CD sounds the best to me!

  • ... Eddie Jackson has always been Queensryche's Bassist.

  • Most singers don't sound good live BUT GEOFF TATE IS THE EXCEPTION that voice those songs.....
