Boy things have changed since I went to engineering school back in the early '60's.

Back then we had 3 women undergras in my engineering class at Boston University, and one of those was a nun!

Now it looks like more than half of the kids are girls ( and attractive girls too!). All engineering courses are difficult but with the energy of a Walter Lewin it makes them more enjoyable.

I wish I could do that. I love MIT but the admission department is a little creepy. My friend is on waiting list or something if he doesn't get admission there I won't say this his bad luck but instead I think that would be MIT's bad luck not giving him admission because he is one of the best educated, hard working and smart person I evermeet.

@desiretolearn I just applied and got deferred (I'll find out in March for sure) along with one of my friends. We're at the top of our classes, we're really unusual, outstanding students and people (no brag). A lot of really amazing students don't get into MIT, but they DO have a really low admit rate, after all. They're looking for a good balance in their freshman classes. Someone who gets rejected by MIT might get into Harvard or Princeton. PS did your friend get in?

You're very lucking. I always watch this video and it make me cry. I can't wait to get to MIT for fall 09. I love MIT and of course physics and math. If someone ask me for a wish I would say taking a class at MIT with Prof. Lewin. He is a great teacher, 600demonstration in 100lectures! Please tell me more about your experience at MIT. I will be thankful for your response.
