The gameplay, however, is genius, and with a bit of work, adding more moves, power-ups, different, Titans, extra gameplay for Crash (there was an unfinished Crash game that gave him R&C-ish weapons) & puzzles made for Crash & the Titans. Some needing a combination of both Crash & some Titans, maybe a Warp Room, Crystals & Gems for gameplay purposes, and an arena that you can buy and use Titans with Mojo would be epic. But COTT/MOM are still great.

The new games are also not that original, but the point is being good. And Crash made the Jacking concept epic And with a bit of tweaking, Jacking Titans and his combat can become more up-to-date. Seriously, there is no logical reason to hate these games. Most of these are fanboyish attempts at trashing underrated gems.

EVERYTHING in Crash games started to suck after Twinsanity, when Radical started to pull the strings. They fucked up the gameplay, raped the characters and killed the whole shit even more by that lame humour Radical adds to their games.

Brio especially infuriates me, because he was my favorite villain back in the day. Now he's just a mutagen-addicted nutcase who isn't even slightly intimidating. And don't get me started on N. Gin.

I dont get the mutagen thing either, simply because it SUPRESSES his mutation, not CAUSES it. That is dumbfounding to me. Well, he got the opposite now. Brio's more sophisticated look right now. It's his lines & inactivity which are annoying.

I mean, sure, there can be great improvements with a slightly more serious tone and making the combat more complex, putting more power ups that are more creative (Gems and Crystals could be used for unlocking moves and damage upgrades), innovation with the Titans idea (A second Red Star Meter and a Rage Mode that would be against you and used for you after you jack them), and many other ideas to make it better...

True. A bit childish, but I like him. Uka Uka seems to have more power than he lets on, but never uses it... Even now, being able to be milked enough Mojo to enslave Wumpa Island shows his power. Well, Aku has the same amount of Power (IMO) and after beating him 3 times, you start to lose fear and respect for someone you've beaten multiple times.

To me, this game is proof that the Crash franchise is dead. Half-baked writing, ludicrous cutscenes, and there isn't a single character in this game that they didn't screw up somehow. N. Brio especially infuriates me, because he was my favorite villain back in the day. Now he's just a mutagen-addicted nutcase who isn't even slightly intimidating. And don't get me started on N. Gin.

@kiraina25 I disagree for the most part: Half-baked writting: Some lines from Crunch and Coco are dumb, but it's overall decent. I agree about the bad cutscenes. Those were silly & terrible. What I don't get is he does NOT become a monster with that mutagen. But what's so bad about the characrters? Crash just has new hair, lighter fur, and tattoos. They're not THAT noticable. Coco looks great in MOM. N-Gin? He's funny now. Not a stiff robotic caricature. I want him to bulid machines again, but..

@kiraina He's not so bad. Nina may be whiny, but still has more personality which helps the story. Similar to N-Gin (if he wasn't the way he was in COTT and MOM, how could've he given Crash and Aku the next direction to continue on?). I won't start on the masks because no matter what I say, people will NEVER get over the fact that the old looks were actually more like American party masks, not ancient Voodoo masks like they were supposed to be. @kiraina25 Human-Like. Most people disagree with that, but have you EVER compared some people's faces with some primates? Some people have very "monkey"-ish faces and I've seen a good amount of people with those faces, and considering that Aku was a Voodoo man put into a mask... I'd say he looks more like a human and less like Superman without that square face.

Crash is NOT wantonly destructive. He's an idiot, sure, but bashing Crunch around and trying to punch N. Gin in the throat? WAY out of character.
Speaking of, is it just me or is Aku-Aku a giant prick now? I mean, he tells Crash to punch someone in the THROAT! That's just sadistic.
Nina... I didn't really have a problem with her, really. She's fun.

(cont)And lastly, N. Brio. *sigh* This guy was my favorite non-Cortex character. He was intimidating, just as nuts as Cortex, and he really shone in Cortex Strikes Back. Now he's just messed up. He's addicted to mutagen (huh?), he claims he invented everything (what?) and he's not even his old tittering giggling neurotic self. He's... almost neutral, really, other than the "I invented it! Me! Me! Me!" thing. And of course this terrible character is voiced by THE BRAIN, which makes it even worse.

I dont get the mutagen thing either, simply because it SUPRESSES his mutation, not CAUSES it. That is dumbfounding to me. Well, he got the opposite now. Instead of being afraid to claim ownership of anything, now he retaliates by claiming EVERYTHING. I find that funny. The Brain? I love his voice. He really fits N. Brio's more sophisticated look right now. It's his lines & inactivity which are annoying.

@vgman94 Hmm... valid points, but all in all I still find what they've done with the characters annoying at best, painful at worst. And the fact that they have such great voice actors (for crying out loud, they got the Grim Reapa himself to voice Aku-Aku!) just worsens for me the fact that they've been put into such a poor game.
And do -not- get me started on how utterly easy the bosses are... just look at the video if you don't believe me. And I thought the Evil Twins battle was lame...

@kiraina25 I disagree. I find these great games so I find their talent well spent. I mean, sure, there can be great improvements with a slightly more serious tone and making the combat more complex, putting more power ups that are more creative (Gems and Crystals could be used for unlocking moves and damage upgrades), innovation with the Titans idea (A second Red Star Meter and a Rage Mode that would be against you and used for you after you jack them), and many other ideas to make it better...

And the first time I fought the Yuktopus, it was hard, since I fell off of him. Also, don't tell me you actually think Uka's fight was easy. Uka gave me 2 game overs and once, I had 9 lives.

True. A bit childish, but I like him. Uka Uka seems to have more power than he lets on, but never uses it... Even now, being able to be milked enough Mojo to enslave Wumpa Island shows his power. Well, Aku has the same amount of Power (IMO) and after beating him 3 times, you start to lose fear and respect for someone you've beaten multiple times.

no crash bandicoot is shit now ! naughty dog never should have sold out, now its a parady of its former self that only has the ability to amuse small children with a primary sence of humour. i grew up playing crash and it was the best, as soon as they started with this mutant phenomina and changed the characters voice and looks in every new installment they lost it, however i can see how little children would still find it funny and amuseing.
