Too bad Halloween Horror NIghts started again, its starting to once again take over the crown of scariest Halloween attraction in So- cal.. HHN is much better then this. They have the best Creative Diretor when it comes to Horror.. John Murdy.

@JSmothermon The actual park never has/had a theme. The park is broken up into scare zones (those are themed). The mazes are just random. Some corespond with the theme of the scarezone and some don't.

@DisneyFan7804, If you get the chance go to both. HHN's has a lot more room and they are on a movie lot. So they can get more creative. At Knott's they have a show and a few mazes along with the "Monsters" running around scaring the kiddies and girls who don't realize the monsters are only going to keep messing with you if they get a reaction. The choice is yours.

@DisneyFan7804 HHN in my opinion is better, but of course thats me. HHN in 09 was alot scarier then Knotts. In 2010 Knotts was scarier. HHN is a larger theme park and they are more realistic as far as costumes, props and make up goes Plus they have the Terror Tram. Knotts is rated to be a lil scarier. Its a real tough decision.

HHN is also recognized as having the best Horror Creative Director in the nation. Hope you enjoy the theme park of your choice (:

@emogirl123451001, We went to the pre-haunt dinner which allows you entry into the park I think it's either an hour or half hour before everyone else. Its cool cause you can hit the rides first or the mazes. I like to hit the rides first cause the mazes are better in the dark.

@Xionschozen1 If you wanna stay in the day you have to pay for "Knotts Berry Farm tickets" and they dont scare you and they kick you out at 5:30 (well atleast in saturdays they do) and then i guess they have like an hour and a half cleaning up and gettting everything ready and i think like at 7 or 8 they open "Knotts scarry farm" and you have to pay for a ticket for that to! its like 50 if you order online or if you buy them like while your at knotts berry farm in the morning, 60 at the box

I went there last October and that rat guy at the beginning snarled in my face! XD I was in line for that little crappy Stepfather vignette, looking away at something, then I turn, BOOM! He's right in my face doing that throat snarling sound! it made me jump so hard! He's also very funny at times, too!

It was awesome! I dunno if I'll go to Knotts again this october or HNN. Heck, maybe I'll go to BOTH! :P

Seriously, it depends on how good the actors are. Some of them are basically like the ones seen in this video. But some sneak up on people or use strategic scaring. For example, in the Dia De Los Muertos maze, one girl got frightened by a scare actor and backed away, only to be scared by another one behind her at the same time! She got so scared and curled up against a wall. But you should still go! It's so much fun! :)

I went there last year for the first time and I was 15. It was very traumatizing yet fun! Maybe if you're okay with horror movies and whatnot... because it feels like you're actually in one.
