hey zack u got a new vid coming soon??? jus wondering cuz no offense but this vid did sound so well im assuming it was the camera.. but the other vid sounded good and clean
@minicobra01 hah yeah, ill try to do another one in mud december when im done with school for the semester. ive just been so busy. and yeah i know the sound isnt the best here. my other camera had a better sound mic.
Not a problem.. If you ever decide to get a new set of headers, don't get BBK's low quality crap again. I have a set of them on right now and they were tack welded together at the flanges. I just bought a set of PaceSetter shorties from Summit Racing and they are by far the best set of headers I've seen for any car. 14G 1.5" steel primaries, 2.5" collector, all welds are solid and very clean, and the flanges are thicker and less pliable. and they only ran @$145 (as opposed to BBK's $270)!
I have an '03 V6 with a VAP upper intake manifold, short ram intake and K&N air filter. Screamin' Demon coil pack, Ford Racing 9mm wires and Bosch Iridium Fusion plugs. BBK shorty headers and a custom 2.5" exhaust with custom fab'd X-pipe w/sound baffles, DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers and 3.5" echo chambers. I can still roast in first and get 2nd gear scratch running 10.5" tires with 3.73 gears. I'm looking into changing to Flow 44's, and wanted to hear the note. sounds pretty damn good too!
@ConTang03 hah thanks dude! yeah the flowmaster 44's are the third set of mufflers ive had on this car and they are by far my favorites. the first ones i had were the dynomax super turbos and i switched them for cherry bomb vortex mufflers, but in my opinion these 44's are the best because they give the car that awesome, hollow mustang tone.
lol 2 thumbs up hey sence you went from stock y pipe to x pipe....can you put a h pipe on cuz i have the american thunder cat back waiting to be put on but i didnt order the mid pipe yet...
@minicobra01 cruizinconceptswholesale has a set of MAC H-pipes (TF3820) for $154.95.
If you're going for performance, I would suggest going with X-pipes because they create less turbulence than H-pipes..which sometimes causes a rhaspy popping sound that is less noticable in X-pipes. If you're going for sound, both sound pretty good, but X-pipes are a little more expensive. Pypes Offroad X-pipes run $223.98 on their website.
@minicobra01 yeah, an H pipe would make it true dual as well, but you may need more pipe to run from the side where the y pipe doesnt run, see what im saying? depending how much pipe they gie you with the H pipe.
@zachshallperish no it wouldnt true duals is no mid pipe i was just wondering what it would sound like with an h pipe but every1 ia runing x or divorced duals aka true duals
dont put the long tube headers on... you will lose hp... i did some research and its better to stick with the shorties.. atleast with the 3.8 ... the long tubes dont make too much diff in sound either like i thought they did so im out 500$. if i was you. use the money for a mild cam, or save it for a turbo... or even 373 rearend gears with the ford limited slip kit..trust me .. with your compression ratio, long tubes are bad
@xsplittx740 oh really? hah dang i didnt realize that. actually i was trying to get a cam a while back but i couldnt find them anywhere. you got any idea where i could find a good one?
a cam would be better man it'll give it a much better sound than already has (wich is pretty good by the way)....and the performance will improve a lot more.
@MrSTANGER232 hah alright sweet, thanks ill definitely do that then. btw, what are your views on the longtube headers on a v6? ive heard both good and bad sides to it, so im tryna get as many opinions as possible.
honestly i have mac shorty headers on mine ...as far as i know there's a lil diff between shorty and long tubes ..about 3 hp well i have intake,mac headers,catted x pypes and duals ...i think it does the job pretty well lol..man if you already have headers why dont you go for something else like a cam or some pulleys ...its just my humble opinion my friend lmfao
Sounds ok, my mustang has a deeper tone. You need to put your cats back on
