I have the 610 Professional Roombas in a 3 pk. I set all of them to clean the other rooms at night and wake up to a clean house. The 500 and up series haul serious ass. My 610s clean the whole house in under an hour and then the scoobas take over after that. These things are the best investment in home improvement I've ever made. I don't have to clean anymore, all I do is wipe counters and bleach the toilet. These things gave me hours back in time, I love them.
do they really get the whole room? they don't seem like it cuz there goin in all the random routes. it doesnt seem to have a plan as to how to vaccum. it seems like it should just go left to right then to the next row like when you're reading.
@Hidjdjdj My 530 doesn't! I don't know if my room is too big or what but even when it repeatedly goes ovet the same spot some of the dirt doesn't pick up over the carpet.
Most of the room is missed by random crossings. The edges seem to get hit a lot by the machine.
I ownder why the demo shows different motors and brushes riunning but they never get any control logic, even when finding the charger. This just wears the thing out unecessarily.
I have one. But its my 2nd one. After about 4 months of daily use, it stops working properly. Either it breaks down or it stops stucking up debris. How is yours working?
They work great, but they do take some maitenance. I have two 550's from Costco. I run one upstairs, one downstairs. They run daily, and the downstairs one has more to deal with. I've had to change out the side brushes, main brushes, and even replace some of the parts. Everything has been covered by warranty, and parts are easy to swap out if you're semi-handy with a screw driver. I also clean mine out every 1-3 days (empty the dust bin, clean off the brushes, etc).
Thanks for making this video. As a prospective Roomba purchaser it's nice to see it working in a real-world setting rather than the promo video where they conveniently leave out the noise etc... I'm still getting one :-)
You can also set a room at a time or let it clean when you're out if you find it a little noisy! They do clean well

So you only have to listen to this noise for like 6 hrs for it to clean one room with how slow it moves?

note how it doesn't actual find dirt. It has to bump into it by chance. Thus, it wastes an incredible amount of electricity. What an absurd product.

@cableaddict Once it "finds" dirt, it circles that area. Otherwise, it provides a really adequate macro dusting / sweeping.

I like how it has a "back up beep" when it leaves the station

Thank you for this. I am thinking about purchasing this model and was looking for a real-world demo.

I think there is something wrong with this roomba I have one and it slows down a lot just before it reaches an object, this one doesn't seem to.

I recon they should have remote controls.

"I recon they should have remote controls."
Higher end Roomba models do indeed come with remotes.

unlike every other vacuum cleaner ever invented?

Actually they quite quiet compared to regular vacuum cleaners. No trouble at all staying in the room while they clean.

My friend says that it slows down when it senses that an object is in front of it, and that it looks like this one's sensors aren't functioning :s
But either way, this thing kicks ass!

I agree with timjohns. How long does it take to clean an average floor of a house... 1000 sq feet or so
